    Bricks and pieces reopened today.

While you cannot buy all the exclsuive parts for these sets, you can buy quite a few of the torsos and food tiles, some of the printed parts for the dragon, etc.

I was disappointed they didn't have the yellow heart tiles, but ordered a few 2019 parts with some of the interesting dragon dance parts in case they remain exclusive to that set.

Lots of the food tiles are out of stock. Were they ever available or did they start out or stock?
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
They started out of stock, I'm sure I saw 5 or 6 available earlier. I was mainly interested in the torsos though.
  • pxchrispxchris Member Posts: 2,388
I picked up a few of the food tiles.

Amazon Japan just cancelled my #80102 order due to over-allocation. Gutted.

Same here. :-( Not coming back in at Amazon means they're pretty much all out of 'em, I assume.

    When did you order?
I'm still waiting for 80101, hope that doesn't get canceled.

Mine was the other way around, I got the dragon but not the dinner.  Also ordered on the 10th.  However, I have yet to get the cancellation email.  It's still back ordered.

Amazon Japan cancelled my order because of no stock.

Luckily, I pre-ordered on eBay and the seller came through!
Box damaged but seals were tight. Happy...and relieved.

Are these going out or stock for good, then?  Or just can't keep up with demand?  That seems a very short run for a set.

Sorry for the bump, but would anyone in Singapore know if any stores there have 80101 and 80102 in stock?  I'll be there this weekend and if there's a chance I can get them at RRP, I might go through the hassle of bringing larger or extra luggage.  Thanks!

"Sorry - we are out of stock and not expecting any restock. We are therefore unable to take reservations or call backs."

Presumably there will be smaller reseller stores that may have them, but prices are likely to be inflated.

No more stock and no restock.

Your best bet is to see if any SG ebay sellers selling at reasonable price and if so meet up said seller to do cash purchase.

Thanks for the heads up.  On the bright side, I can travel a little lighter.

$88 is not bad at all.  I was going to wait for the  possible US release but now I'm definitely tempted to just order one just in case it is never released here.
  • Ray1204Ray1204 Member Posts: 70
Yes they do.  Pay by Japanese yen is a bit cheaper.  My total was $84.84 USD after conversion shipped.

I think I got the last one sold by Amazon JP. As it’s now being offered from a 3rd party for 8000 yen. Where as Amazon was around 6200 Yen.

So now #80103 is available worldwide... Except in North America. Come on Lego!

I don't think it is available Worldwide.  This appears to be regional, as previously advertised.

I have confirmation from CS that it'll be available in the Benelux, Italy  and the US as well (non-limited list of ones where it currently is not on [email protected] yet).

What the hell does that guy know?

(I'm happy to see this set more widely available, but I'll not be surprised when they sell out in 5 minutes.)

It lasted for a good while on Amazon Japan and was even substantially discounted before it sold out. It is the weakest of the 3 sets IMO. It could go either way. Either it will sell out quickly or it will linger for quite a while. I guess it all depends on how many extra they made.

The first 2 sets simply flew off the shelves here in Malaysia, but this one seems to be staying out for a good while. Either they overestimated demand and overproduced, or people simply aren't interested in it compared to the first two

Im guessing one of the reasons for the delay in selling out was that it was likely going to be made available worldwide.

I don't believe that was necessarily common knowledge. I'm plugged in to this type of news and I still ordered from Amazon Japan because I wasn't confident it would see wide release. I think it's just the least desirable of the 3. @Jern92s post seems to at least anecdotally confirm that to an extent. Or, they made a ton more.

I doubt they had the lead-time to rush additional product.  I also get the the sense a TON of the first two sets were also produced.  Less interest - due to subject matter, time away from the holiday and non-exclusive status may contribute to a less-frenzied release.

Until it's sold-out in 10 days and is the same cost as the other two sets on eBay and Bricklink.
