Minifig classification parameters?

klintonklinton Member Posts: 1,248
When I look through my list of minifigs I notice that nanofigs, mini-dolls, big figs, and even brick built characters like the generic classic space inspired robots from Benny's Spaceship! (#70816) are included, but larger built characters with unique parts and/or prints like Ares (#76075), Steppenwolf (#76087), Giant-Man (#76051), Batgirl's Bat-bot (#41237), and Groot (#76020) are not present?

Is this a deliberate exclusion, or an oversight? If deliberate, what is the reasoning behind it?

The minifigure data comes from Bricklink, it’s their weird logic.
