You can never have too much

Teaching my girls from an early age that you can never have too much... that way my entire room dedicated to Lego won't seem so odd when they're older!

Ohh I dunno, My former dining area, now giant pile of LEGO parts and set boxes (nevermind the full closet in my dining area) would infer otherwise.

There's a cultural statement somewhere here...

Anyway, a few years ago I'd have agreed with you. I still do if you apply that to space. But when you get to the point where can build your own 3,500-piece modular out of your own collection of parts without making any compromises, and only need to order 50 pieces for it, you do start to wonder whether you need much more!

It’s not hard to imagine that teaching your kids this might backfire at some point in the future.

Yes - with stuffed animals.  It is possible to have too many Build-a-Bears, Care Bears and Disney plushies.

^Not according to my friend. She collects teddy bears & they have their own bedroom. Her husband is perfectly fine with this. They don't have any children.

I suppose I should keep my smart comments to myself.  But I'm sure the Teddy Bears have lots of children.

I once saw a couple of grown women each pushing a full-size pushchair around in public. With a life-size doll in each. Your friend sounds like she's dangerously close to that point! ;)

God forbid we have a little levity in the forum. Pro tip, unsolicited opinions on parenting should be kept to oneself.

It's a bit of an inside joke, based on the fact that most AFOLs' addictions start at a young age.

There is no room for levity in this Forum.  It's too chalk full of memes, My Little Pony, Monty Python and Seinfeld references for such nonsense.  Very serious.  Very serious.

The sad thing for me is I think that I've got way too much bulk Lego, but when I sit down to build, I just don't have the parts in the color that I want.  Hrmph!
