Spotted and bought ten Series 6 MFs from MüllerMarkt in Winnenden yesterday. Probably off again this evening to fondle a few more bags to get the remaining six.

Just found them today at my local K Jouet in France. Two euros each.

That's cheap! Here they cost 2.49!

It's probably the only thing cheaper. Comparing France [email protected] and Germany [email protected], I'd have to pay 10€ more for both Diagon Alley and the new Batcave and 20€ more for the Black Pearl than you would. The licensed themes are super expensive here.

My local woolies has them at 1.97,
That'll be the wonder of Woolies!

really is a wonder as both the US and UK chains went bankrupt and all the stores closed. The german chain had nothing to do with either of the others and is trading under bankruptcy protection.

how they can sell these so cheap is a mystery to me

    Is Woolies Woolco or Woolworths?

    ^

werent they the same thing but woolco were the larger stores?
  • streekerstreeker Member Posts: 299
yes, sorry, that's what I meant - Woolco/Woolworths. So I take it woolies is Woolco/Woolworths? Woolco is an 80's flashback for me. It was the biggest department store in my hometown until it got taken over by Walmart. Is the signnage red and white in Germany?

I got four duplicates - the minotaur, genie, mechanic and alien- so I'll go back and exchange them for the four I'm missing to complete my set.

yep, exactly the same style as the US stores. googled it and seems that they have new backers and are starting to expand again.

remember the bournemouth woolco from visiting family in late 70s / early 80s - still kicking myself for buying corgi instead of hot wheels.
