Brickset Bi-monthly Building Challenge Dec 2018-Jan 2019: Art

Hey howdy hey, time to launch another building challenge...

For the next two months I want you to dust off your smocks, perch a beret on your head and get arty.  Recreate a painting, build a sculpture, send your minidolls off to a gallery, show me around a studio, decorate an everyday household object to look fantastic.  Go modern, abstract, surrealist, Impressionist, cubist - the choice is yours.  I'll even be happy to see art in other media about Lego rather than art made with Lego.

The rules are much as usual:

Your entry has to be a new MOC (or piece of art) created specifically for this challenge.

No more than two images per post in this thread - but feel free to link to others hosted elsewhere.

Art doesn't have to be pretentious.

Enter as many times as you like so long as each entry is in its own post.

Closing Date is 31 January 2019. Winner to be announced in the first few days of February.

Prize will be determined by the winner's owned and wanted lists on the main site so make sure you update those after Christmas and the January sales!

Go get creative...

Not sure if this counts, as there are no original LEGO builds in it, but I thought it would get the ball rolling anyway :)

Obviously not a huge effort project here in stud.io as I don't have a ton of free time these days - but I was feeling cheeky. A lego form of a classic! :P

I figure this post is more of a bump than it is an entry since I made did this a bit over a year ago. But hey, figured it was a bit of a different take on recreating lego in art.

For Christmas, my wife made these plaster of paris minifigures that my toddler then painted for me - that definitely counts as "art"!

, sorry. I've been trying to do a painting but it's been a while and things didn't really work out like I wanted, I remember now why I stopped doing that and went to bricks to be creative...

I did really like the snow and plaster people too.

I believe @catwrangler is not too well at the moment so anyone wanting to step in for the feb/mar slot will be welcome.

Oh wow! Thank you! Thought it was a good choice for a topic. Really liked the ones that decided to not use bricks as their medium.
