Just digging thru the basement and found a bunch of old NEW unused trees (Pine and Fruit) from the 1970s and 1980s. These include...

3 old 1974-77 Pine Trees (not bendable). These replaced the granulated trees in such sets as the Swiss Villa and the 939 Spare parts pack of the 1970s. $6 each.

11 old 1978-85 Pine Trees (very bendable). These square tipped trees were found in later 1970s and 1980s sets. $1.50 each.

8 old 1978-85 Fruit Trees (very bendible). These square tipped trees were also found in later 1970s and 1980s sets. $1.50 each.

The square tipped trees are of the variety that the rare tall Cypress Trees have.

OK... I just sold all of the bendable Pine and Fruit trees of 1978-85.

The 3 early 1974-77 Pine trees are still available (in new condition), and I just dropped their prices down to $4.50 each (about 1/2 what other new ones are going for. These are not even made of ABS plastic! And they are a darker green color. A good way to get those early trees for finishing your old sets, or just having a unique item.

It is very possible that these non-flexible non-shiny dark green Pine trees may have been made from the same type of plastic as Minitalia Italian LEGO parts (1970-75).
