Identification of Minifigs, Goatleg.com

stefxanstefxan Member Posts: 61
Hi there.

I have about 1500 minifigures that I already identified by Bricklink number and that are assembled correctly. Therefor I know a lot about the different series and styles and I am doing well in identifying figs. Brickset, Bricklink, Goatleg and the Minifigure guide are the pictures that I use for a reference and then Im going to assemble them correctly.

For about 3000 Minifigures this has to be done in the next months too.

Im always starting with the torso. Goatleg.com had the possibility to say for example "Black Torso" + "Gun printed". This worked really well.

Since one of the last updates the Torso search is gone. I can just search for Torso Color, Arm color etc. The search for prints is gone!

Am I making something wrong? Do you know any alternative?

If you do the search without the description (just colour of torso, arms and hands) it shoudlbring up a BL search page. In the search box, you can then add your descriptor, although you only really need to do this if there is more than a page of results.

But if goatleg is being a pain to use, you can also try the torso search here: http://www.v4ei.com/mini-fig-ure-outer/

It was set up by a BL user when goatleg went down about 6 weeks ago. You can use the additional descriptors listed or add your own.

I thought you were pulling my goatleg for a second on this one!

Thanks for the additional resources, however. It'll help in my identification of bulk lots moving forward!

Both of those websites are new to me... they look really useful!
