the theme minecraft has been going strong for 5+ years, this discussion will be for ideas and predictions in the theme... please don't add off theme unless its a cross over set or an skin pack idea... first of my posts will include a picture of the set and how it would look, mobs it could include, and predicted cost....

THE TRIDENT SHRINE
cost: 15.00$
this idea set includes drowned, Steve, and tropical fish...
main action feature: hidden sponge and trident holding shrine
this set would require a new trident but the one in the picture is the Atlantis gold trident, a bigger head for the drowned, and a new fish mold,
Although it probably won't happen, it would be cool to see a larger build with a "redstone contraption" play feature. Like a hidden technic and levers thing that you could make a figure fall down a hole or control a door (kind of like the temple set but more) by triggering it somehow and it would click the button on the back of a light brick to represent a redstone lamp (lighting the set). It wouldn't have to be too complicated, but something more like a larger play feature.
An Overwatch theme seems like a fairly smart bet not just because of being colorful and approachable but also because it stands a good chance of being a big hit in east Asia, a market Lego has long desired to gain a stronger foothold in. South Korea in particular is hugely into Overwatch from what I've seen (and Japan to a slightly lesser extent).
I think we'll see Minecraft sort of slow down and fade away rather than suddenly go out with a bang. At this point it'd be wiser for Lego to just release fewer sets if they think their audience is shrinking rather than quit altogether after this big year.
Really? I would thunk something called "Bedroom adventures" would be more adult-oriented...
the pillage
set includes: new skin, villager, pillager, and beast
mainbuild is small villager house
newparts would be, new player skin, crossbow, and beast head...
action feature is breakable Wall...

SET IDEA 3

comes with a alpaca, Llama, mob a, mob b, mob c, and mob d, ostrich, fox, and merekat...
3 different biomes each with there special inclusions, savanna with small baobab tree and a termite, taiga with spruce tree and campfire and a berry bush, and desert with palm tree and oasis...
each mob comes with stand
[only available during minecon 2019 week at target]
As for other sets, I'm surprised we haven't yet seen a desert temple. I suppose the reason is it would need to be relatively large, and could reasonably have only a couple play features. I'm also surprised there hasn't been a beacon in any of the sets with bases. A small one wouldn't require too many pieces.
Good idea with the ocean themed sets!
On the topic of a desert temple, I can think of two viable routes for Lego to take:
the parrot party!
parts 890ps and 80$
contains 5 mini-figs, Steve with elytra, creeper, and 2 parrots and a ocelot
main build is top of a jungle tree with a elytra launching feature
has 2 new blocks, jukebox, and a filled cauldron of water...
also a new item, music disk [can contain 3]
