[UK] AFOL-watch. Was it you?

I thought this could be a fun feature... Have you seen another adult looking suspiciously interested in Lego? Have you passed another AFOL in the street wearing their Lego star wars t-shirt? Find out here! I'll go first...

Was it you? Manchester Piccadilly Station 8:45am Jan 9th. You -making the familiar crinkle of CMF packets in WHSmiths and wearing a scarf? Me - pretending to read a magazine whilst waiting for my train.

    ^ Likewise!

I hope this doesn't catch on! We will all have to be on our best behaviour in case someone is watching!!!

^^^Lol. You've been reading too much Metro, don't they do something like this (non-lego)?

I remember seeing a lady feeling up the CMFs in my local Sainsburys and thinking, "wonder if she's an AFOL"? Lo and behold, a few weeks later I'm at STEAM and there she is exhibiting! "It's a small world after all..." :-)

Not lego Im afraid. but I popped into Asda about half an hour ago and there was a bloke with a beard going through all the hot wheels and comparing them to a list of numbers he had listed on a piece of paper. I was sniffing around him looking for lego, and he looked at me rather embarassed ... and so he should have been ... he should definitely kmow the model numbers off by heart :)

ha ha ha. I can't imagine there being other adult toy fans for other brands...weird!
I bumped into a friend of a friend in the lego aisle in tesco the other day (as I was loading up on bounty hunters) and she was fondling the minifigs. I ended up finding her evil dwarf for her. She seemed chuffed and bemused at the same time...Might keep my mouth shut next time!

After years or delivering rattling parcels, I saw my postie in Tesco looking at LEGO the other week...!

I had a discussion with a Tesco employee a while ago, I was taking the last Dathomir Speeder set and as I went through the checkout he asked me if there were any more on the shelf, I said 'no' and he said 'not to worry, I have one in the stock room saved for me!' I saw him again a few days ago looking at some Lego City sets in Sainsbury's of all places! I think he went off with the Space Shuttle and Satellite Launch Pad. Was it any of you?

I am often in the stratford westfield brand store about 6pm. I am a city boy (not a banker) so always have suit etc on so you can't miss me. I am always by the SW section near the door. Based on other threads I have seemingly crossed paths with a couple of people from brickset.
