Anyone know where to purchase lego display box?

Hi

Does anyone know where to purchase display box that Lego stores use to display their lego?

Thanks.

I am guessing that you cannot as it is made specifically for their brand stores. Perhaps there is someone on eBay or something who has home-crafted replicas though.

Contact Lego customer service. They could put you in touch with the vendor. Or see if the store will let you look for a brand name/Company name on the display somewhere.

I'd be surprised if LEGO Customer service would know or be able to tell you. You are very unlikely to get the exact thing, but you could probably find similar display systems - for the size and quality you might need to talk to a shop fitter thought.

The circles on the glass can very easily be added with a little bit of contour cut vinyl - I'm a sign maker and vinyl graphics like that are the most basic thing we do.

I find them quite ugly due to their bulk but I guess they have to be to withstand the number of hands pressed against them and bumps as people walk past. A better alternative might be an IKEA style cube shelf unit and paint the interiors different colours.

I think TLG either takes them back or the store is instructed to destroy all display cases. Obviously, not all of them are destroyed or sent back, but I highly doubt you can acquire any display case directly from Lego. Get friendly with a store manager, sometimes they do you favors here and there. Maybe they will let you have a display case or two.

Since these are probably only used at LEGO stores and are not connected to any theme or set, I don’t see why LEGO would get rid of them unless they wear out or they remodel.

^ Agreed - this specific type of display is more of a part of the fabric of the shop itself and unlikely to ever be disposed of. I've seen countless Lego displays in auctions but they've never been directly from a Lego Store - they just remove the display and put new models in over a gradual cycle.

If you just want transparent Lego displays, the ones that get distributed to other chain stores and toy shops often find their way into auctions - so you can grab yourself one that way - I would just be wary of longer distance shipping which might damage the displays

I'd check with those who liquidate store fixtures and the like.  Chances are, some (now former) store had something similar.
