So many constructive comments...
Fingers crossed for a really nice modular and not a disapointing one
I believe the line is far too successful to just end with no announcement. But, I don’t really know much of anything. It’s just conjecture.
But I would like to see them go all out there and give us some BATMAN / GOTHAM themed modulars.... That type of Chrysler / ArtDeco style would work perfectly for that, and it would also open up the door to an Ace Chemicals, Iceberg Lounge, Arkham Asylum, Wayne Tower types of buildings that would both fit into a modular-style city, AND provide some much-needed full-building sets for us superhero fans. :P
could always turn your spare helicopter on its side to make a moc vestas wind turbine, saving a whopping £160, surely the highest price per part of any creator set (and one that looks like it has the detail of a city set)
Exactly! While I'm curious what it will be, I will not be buying it until I can get double VIP points or find it at a good discount. If that means I have to wait, then so be it. I'm patient and quite frankly have a lot of projects to keep me occupied.
It was a very popular style for early diners, many of which set out to imitate the appearance of “streamliner” train cars. Of course, the Downtown Diner is much different than these traditional diners of the 30s and 40s due to being a part of a larger building rather than a prefabricated one-story building.
Feel like you're reaching a bit here. It's like saying there's "baby theme" in the modular line because several of the modular releases included strollers.... humans have an amazing capacity for recognizing patterns, even when there are none to actually be found, or they are insignificant. As always, speculation is fun - but I don't think any of those types of sub-theme type things would be any help in predicting what the next entry might or might not include.
Anyway I wasn't trying to say there was some intentional, overarching marital theme, I was just goofing on @TheBigLegoski's misspelling of "martial arts".
So yeah, my Lego cities have always had at least one port-a-potty since then.
Not that I would complain about getting a record store in a modular. :P
I got three copies of #60073 to ensure that there are plenty of port-a-potties in my city.
* The sound of a joke flying over your head
Perhaps that’s the reasoning behind the rumored part count?
I'm sure most of these rumours start within the AFOL community and just get regurgitated until multiple 'sources' are vomiting the same nonsense. I think we've learned for 2018 that LEGO has clamped down on meaningful advance product information.
With KIRKBI setting up the LEGO Brand Group last year to protect the brand, I wonder if they have something to do with it, or is TLG themselves just getting more effective at shutting down leaks? Has anybody here seen any of this year's cease & desist letters, and can confirm who signed those?
