[US] Amazon: how long does it usually take for them to start selling new LEGO product?

I have some Amazon gift cards burning a hole in my pocket, but I'm waiting for them to start selling 2012 Technic and Superheroes stuff. Any idea when we can expect this stuff to become available direct from Amazon (NOT third-party sellers and their jacked up prices)?

Thanks.

I just got an email from Amazon to "introduce" me to friends, so that's a maximum of six days after general release. I think they may have been out for a while as numbers 2,4,5,7 and 10 on the Lego top 10 list were Friends. Does Amazon carry everything? I thought I'd checked their prices on Black Pearl at one time and they weren't selling it directly.

In my experience they carry most/nearly all of the current Lego products, for at least a period. The Black Pearl I know they sold directly near the set's launch, but they haven't reordered in a long time for some reason - that's a mystery to me. It's not retired, right?

Another example is the Unimog. They haven't sold it directly for months, and I don't know why.

Can't speak for Amazon.com, but Amazon.co.uk have got this year's line up if you search by product code rather than name despite the themes not being officially listed. Worth a try?

Edit: I stand corrected, all 2012 themes now listed properly on the Lego page for UK :)

Yeah, no luck. I went to the actual Lego product section and it has most of the 2012 sets listed, but they're virtually all being sold by third-party people. Thanks for the idea though.

Try entering the product number (ie: 7985) or the name of the set and see if that works.

I can find the products, but Amazon isn't selling them. But just in case there's something else going on that's giving me the trouble, I tried typing in the product numbers and it takes me to the same page.

I'll just keep checking back over the coming days. Thanks!

^ Yes it is, but Amazon doesn't carry it yet, so third party sellers are trying to take advantage.

:) Kinda like TRU, but for the little guy...

That being said, with a sales rank of 57K, they are not selling very many of them.

Amazon U.S. is now directly selling both new Technic and Superheroes stuff as of today. =)
