Late-starting to collect the Collectible Minifigs

Hello. I have decided to begin collecting the Collectible Minifigures. I only start now because for all this time, I was confused as to what they were, and how they were sold. But from what I've seen, I want them all. But, I also want to be assured that I get them complete with their accessories (painter with his brush & plate, etc).

Can anybody please help me out? I tried BrickLink, but I'm getting very confused reading all the listings. To my knowledge from BrickSet, there are 5 series released previously, and this year has Series 6, 7, and an unknown 8th.

Thank you, everybody.

    Hi Chris,

I came late to collecting CMFs too, about the end of the third series. Series 6 is out in a lot of places now, I don't know where you're based.

I've not used BrickLink so I can't help you out there. I bought complete sets of series 1,2,3 and 5 from eBay for $45-70 per series. One came sealed, one came with opened bags because the person wanted to check it was a complete set, and two came with each CMF in it's own little plastic bag with all accessories.

I started getting series 4 from TRU by making my husband feel the bags but only ended up with half the series and had to fill in the gaps from eBay. So now I wait until I see a complete set for a good price. Some people really like hunting for each CMF in the store.

Hope that helps some, and that someone else can let you know about BrickLink,

I don't like hunting in the store (although right before Christmas, I spent an hour helping a sweet grandmother find all 16 for her grandson for Christmas at a TRU. lol), so I usually buy an unopened case online.

eBay is probably your best bet, you often find sellers on there selling complete series for about £30 to £40.

eBay is the cheapest/easiest way to get complete series. You can usually get a complete series 2,3,4,5 for $50 +/- shipped. Series 1 usually runs $75-$100. At $50 that's $3.125/figure which isn't too bad considering you don't have to spend time feeling bags, deciphering dot codes, etc...

    Good luck.

No, believe me, I am nobody famous. And unfortunately, as stated in an earlier post, I have begun to deal with another forum member for the figures.

@spiritshifterus no worries, if you find you're still a few short from 3/4 let me know as I may have spares.
