Shops to visit in London offering LEGO sales

Hello London BrickSetters,

Next week I'll travel to London for a family holiday. Of course I would like to check some sales&deals, but I don't know which stores to go to. For sure I will go to the Leicester square brand store, and will pick up some beefeaters at Hamley's, but where else to go for LEGO-shopping that is easily accessible by public transport?

Thanks,
Yellow

There are the other two LEGO stores (Westfield and Stratford) but they are not really worth a trip if you are also going to Leicester Sq unless you want a passport stamp from them.

You'd be hard pressed to find any LEGO in London that isn't RRP or higher (Hamley's!!!).

I guess John Lewis and Argos sometimes have discounts, but rarely anything cheaper than Amazon.

There are retailers called Poundland, Poundworld, Home Bargains and B+M Stores that sometimes have old Lego stock. Poundland had the fountain set for £5 last Christmas. It is totally random when and if they have stock. I wouldn't go searching them out but if you happen to be passing. Also the main supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda) often have bargains.

Out of interest, does anyone know when these were given away, or available for purchase ...? Obviously a recent thing with the 2018 date n them.

@CCC Those were given away at the Leicester Square store in March according to this Promobricks article (in German).

Yes, they started giving them out to every shopper for the first few days, then they limited them to children at the weekend. But they also gave one to each customer at the TRON signing event.
