I'm a student/Afol from England, I've been a brickset member for a while now and I thought I'd give the forums a try. I collect lego across many themes, like a jack of all trade ,master of none sorta thing. I also dabble in moccing both digitally and in the flesh (the ABS ?). I'm also on Eurobricks with the same username so you might know me from there if you use EB.

General Kenobi! (Sorry I had to based on the thread title). Glad to see you giving the forums a try as I was on Brickset for ages before I gave them a go as well. You may be relatively near me if you're in the South West, and share my annoyance at lack of Lego Stores in close proximity perhaps? ;)

Aye that I do, nearest one to me is all the way away in Cardiff.

I was going to ask what you guys do for your Lego fix.
Cardiff?  Yikes, that's a bit of a trek!

Yeah my nearest Lego Store by journey time is actually the flagship store in Leicester Square - roughly 3 hrs one way if you include getting to the station at my end and getting from Waterloo to Leicester Square. I tried to get to Brighton before but the way the trains work it's slower because you have to change. Same applies to Cardiff for me - Bournemouth and Poole are well connected to London but really badly connected to Bristol, Bath, Cardiff etc. I've also considered driving to these stores but it wouldn't be any faster, if slightly cheaper. Hence my comment the other day about having to resort to buying online most of the time. Well, that, Argos and one local toy shop.

I'm guessing your nearest lego shop is on the mainland which I will admit is an even longer trek.

Hello! Welcome to the forums. Sorry about the lack of Lego Stores nearby. I forget how lucky I am to be so close to Leeds.

Yeah, we have the Dreamworld store and the Discovery Centre store. I've been to the latter once and it's not that different from what I would expect of a brand store - something Australia is lacking entirely.
