OK, question about Benny. With his cybernetic arm, I can't get the black "hand" piece to go as far into the arm as in photos, such as this one: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/media.brothers-brick.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/71023-Apocalypseburg-Benny-949x1024.jpg

I don't want to push too hard and break anything. But it's sticking out quite a bit more than in the photo. In this video review - https://youtu.be/LxIutpgMvNs?t=140 - and in the Brickset review - https://brickset.com/article/41672/review-71023-the-lego-movie-2-collectable-minifigures-(part-1) - the hand is sticking out quite a bit more than in official photos...

@CathyVT: It's not supposed to go all the way in. There's a similar Benny in #70834, and this is how the instructions show it:

Interesting - yeah, the official image for that set, at https://images.brickset.com/sets/large/70834-1.jpg?201811200610, shows it sticking out farther than in the CMF official images. OK, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong... Thanks!

So far I haven't seen any of the minifigures out at stores around me yet, but I'll be stopping back by Walmart on my way home from work just to double check. My Walmart almost never has things out timely though, so we'll see.

Anyone have the Walmart SKU for the bags?

If it's any consolation, local Walmarts here legit just got #30528 in this week. I've been loading the page daily since people first started reporting finding it just after Christmas, and it finally showed up 'in stock' yesterday. That's the first TLM2 poly I've seen (and, thankfully, the only one that I really wanted).

Soon you'll be tripping over the CMFs everywhere and wishing your local stores would just clearance them out already, hahaha. :p

Disappointed the CMF’s have gone up by $1 in Canada. Not sure I will be getting any unless Costco sells them.

So I've just spent nearly two hours carefully setting all of the trading cards (that I vowed I would not collect, hahaha) into the album, carefully inserting each so as not to bend the cards nor harm the pages... only to be fully annoyed that the now completed album no longer fits in it's plastic sleeve. I suppose I should have realized this would be the case, but it didn't occur to me before I started slotting them in. I don't really want to go through the process of carefully prying them all back out. :p

If anybody in the UK wants one. I have 2 I’m happy to ship to people. Only pay for postage and envelope which I double will be more than £2.50. First come first serve.

Looks like Lego Movie 2 took over all/most of the first ad break on The Voice this evening with various sorts of ads.

Now the Party Bus looks like a proper party. Half of the series feels like they were created to compliment this set, hahaha.

Mastermind Toys had a fun little build today

That looks cool!  I should’ve checked their website more, didn’t realize they were doing this.  Was there an upper age limit for a ‘kid’? LOL.

I'm glad Lego does stuff like this and I'm genuinely happy for the kids who get to enjoy these events, but the rabid collector in me is just a wee bit jealous. The exclusive Micro Manager promo from the first film had me fully green with envy, hahaha. I was able to piece it together easily enough from online shares of the instructions, but it would be just a bit more fun to have that little instruction paper in my files and another tick on my Brickset collection.

There may have been an upper age limit but at our Mastermind, it was so quiet that they gladly gave me one along with each of my kids.

Okay, I know this is a Chevy commercial, but LEGO - don't tease me!  This better be the next Creator vehicle after the Mustang.

(Yes, I took a picture of my television.)
Even as a Ford guy (who will get the Mustang) I would definitely buy this!  It’s suspiciously well scaled to the Creator expert vehicles as well....  and it’s not impossible to think of Chevy subsidizing some set development... we already know LEGO has the Chevy license.... I could hope for this as a set too :D

Picked up eight CMFs from the Lego Store yesterday! Ended up with Apocalypse Benny, Giraffe Suit Guy, Apocalypse Mrs. Scratchenpost and Scarfield, Flashback Lucy, Hula Lula, Kitty Pop, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion. (They also had the Emmet Pod and the Sewer Baby pack available.)

I also built the Pop-Up Party Bus, Unikitty’s Sweetest Friends, and the Lucy Vs. Alien Invader polybag and rewatched The Lego and Lego Batman Movies last night. All in all, a pretty good day I’d say!

According to thebrickfan.com there were LEGO stores that were handling out actor signed copies of LEGO Movie characters randomly to customers who made the first LEGO movie 2 purchase that day (feb 3rd). Bet that Arnett signed Batman will fetch a pretty penny.

Justin here is legit the most adorably enthusiastic designer I've ever seen in one of these designer video clips. If you didn't already intend to get the set, you'll probably add it to your list after watching him excitedly gush about his work here. :)

Hello Folks, I am new to this forum. Seriously I am a big fan of this movie but I am not able to trustful source where I can watch it for free. My friend Linda suggested me a website, Can I watch my fav movie here ??
Did you actually just sign up to the forums to ask where you can pirate the new Lego Movie? Did you honestly think anybody here would help you with that?

Seriously, if you're such a fan of it, pay to go and see it in the cinema!

I actually managed to find the CMF figs yesterday after work! Surprisingly, the LEGO store didn't have any in stock, but then I stopped at my local Walmart and they did! In a center isle display by electronics.

A number of them were bags within bags as has been reported elsewhere, but overall I found it probably even easier to feel the bags. Got all the figs I was looking for, no mistakes.

Has anyone else gotten a Cowardly Lion though that has the head print partially hidden by his hair piece?

I noticed that, too. It looked initially like the hairpiece wasn't going down enough - big empty forehead, beard is very close to mouth printing. But it seems to be down as far as it can go. Anyone else?

Staying away for work tonight so popped into the local Asda expecting nothing as my local store had three old battered sets on the shelf. I found lots of new sets as well as a brand new box of CMFs. Had a quick feel and got Benny, Giraffe Guy and Crayon girl and what I thought was Abe, but turned out to be the Tinman....and now I need to get the rest of the series!

    That's a real shame @CathyVT & @BOBJACK_JACKBOB!!

Looking at some reviews online, it looks like some others have had better luck, for example the review here on Brickset looks like the printing is all very nicely visible.

I'd say mine does look like the photo in the official review here: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7827/31861396987_da6b788b1d.jpg The printing is all visible, it just seems like it would look better if the hairpiece went down farther. See the little bit of space between the top of the head and the hairpiece? Not a huge deal.
  • pxchrispxchris Member Posts: 2,438
This is mine, the mouth printing is partially covered up. But I would say that the gap up top looks about similar.

The polybag was shown off awhile back and require a minimal purchase.

Should I get this? I haven't bought any TLM2 sets yet beside some polybags and this set reuse assist from 70826-1: Rex's Rex-treme Offroader!

My Lion comes close to having his mouth covered, but not quite.  Everything is visible, if just barely.

I though this was mentioned already but #853865  The LEGO movie 2 accessory pack with the Sewer babies is now available via S@H. Limit 2 and I have now found when you try to order more than a limit, even in multiple orders, LEGO will cancel that order with those items

  • drlmiles1drlmiles1 Member Posts: 195
Unfortunately #853865 is not yet available in the UK S@H, and it also wasn't instore when I bought #70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg in the Liverpool store last weekend.

Finally managed to visit a Lego store and a Toys r Us to get the minifigures, and realised that the packaging has changed. Can't seem to find the giraffe anywhere, so the search continues!

    Another song from the movie:

I think this one is actually catchier than the catchy song...

Saw the movie last night and loved it so much! Thinking of going to see it again over the weekend, and hunt for giraffe suit guy while I'm at the mall. Did anyone actually see him in the movie? I saw all the other minifigures (usually in the background) but not him.
