With that said; I want to start off by saying that I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan and the following comments are just from a person who has been around Lego and Star Wars for the better part of 42 years.
I personally don't think that Star Wars in general is weak; it is still one of the strongest toy licenses. Just because retail sales are down in the US, doesn't mean that Star Wars isn't still a strong performer in the toy market. There are so many options out there that want our money; not just Lego or Hasbro. I used to collect Kenner/Hasbro Star Wars toys, but when TLG aquired the Star Wars license, I didn't buy as much Hasbro toys because I only had so much money. Now, there are many companies like Sideshow/Hot Toys and the like that make fantastic props and premium format figures and I know that many collectors are gravitating toward that. I personally don't have unlimited amounts of income, so I need to be more selective in what I buy. I personally think that Toys R Us closing most of their stores had a significant impact on toy sales.
If Disney thought Star Wars was a dying franchise, then they wouldn't be sinking $2 Billion into Star Wars World at Disneyland and Disneyworld. I went to Disneyworld last year and it was expensive; I didn't spend a lot on toys because a lot of my money went into my family vacation. Just because I personally didn't buy as many Star Wars related toys, doesn't mean my love for Star Wars has waned. I'm sure there are many people like me in that regard.
One final point. Lower than expected turn out for movies doesn't mean a movie is a colossal flop. A movie theater is not the only way to watch a movie now a days and many people are opting to either wait until the movie comes out on their favorite streaming service, buying the Blu-ray or watching illegally. Case in point; Thor: Ragnarok is one of my favorite MCU movies and yet, I waited until it came out on Netflix before I watched it.
This is my longest post EVER!!! Oh, and no memes :)

Traditional toy sales in general have been falling for years, most of the major players have been feeling the heat. Toys R Us obviously had many problems (*Ahem* Amazon) but its worth not discounting the industry as a whole either. Buying your kid a fire tablet or an Xbox is the easier, ‘cooler’, long term cheaper route for most parents. The number of elementery schoolers with Iphones are staggering, its not hard to see why this would slow an interest in traditional toys.

While I think it affects film a bit less than television, streaming services have massively affected those industries. Why head out to watch Ant Man in theatres when I know it’ll come to streaming in a few months? Or I can save 10 dollars by watching Roma on Netflix now rather than go to see a film at the theatre. Streaming has massively and rapidly changed the game, and I would expect audiences to continue to fall over the next few years.
That is all - facts matter, and arguments should contain substance :)
The movie looks fantastic though, just trying to find the time to see it!
No spoilers please! I shouldn't have to say it but I know people will say stuff.

Without giving anything away, I am happy to report that it's a fun movie that's hard not to enjoy!
Sincerely,

P.S. I also talk about which sets most closely match how they appear in the film, in case you are curious!
And, yeah, the house model in #70841 is freaking adorable. I think I need to pick up a second set when these start going on sale. I love both of the builds, but it takes a couple of hours to swap from one to the other. I wish one of the models was less exciting than the other so I could just decide on one, hahaha.
I'm under the impression that Lego designed the ship (for story purposes in the film), and then cobbled together 'post-apocalyptic' clutter out of the bits that couldn't be reasonably incorporated into a house.
Just curious as to who the old bill might be... Constable?
A clip from one of my favorite songs from the new Lego movie. Obviously, don't click if you want to go in completely unspoiled.
Thanks for sharing that clip! :D
Thanks for sharing. I might succumb to an Instagram account one of these days...
I don't believe there have been any rumors or indications that they will be released. I hope so, but so far no word.
I got a scarecrow even though I have one in the mail, so if anyone wants to trade me, I'd like 30460 Rex's Plantimal Ambush.
