As to the bearings, I do something similar for train wheels on real lego. MR52ZZ bearings fit perfectly inside a technic hole, and lego metal axes for train wheels go through the bearing and hold tight. Much lower friction than purist solution.
yeah its not entirely pure but at this scale bearings although not essentail do help!!
pls feel free to share :)
My first Technic set was #8841 Dune Buggy, I'd love to see your huge version of one of my favorite sets. Its similar to the go-cart you built first, but with the added complication of a single cylinder engine with moving piston, the tolerances on the square piston might be tricky. The other trouble area with the build I had as an eight year old was the toothed connectors that make up the windscreen frame and rollcage, the teeth would often strip off.
I dont know, I have some ideas for more Technic stuff but I may take a departure for a while.. I’ve never seen that dune buggy kit.. I’m amazed! Looks like it could be fun for a kit big enough for someone to sit on
Good effort. :o)
And more if you care to search down my feed :)
