I was debating if I could just pay @Legoboy the cost of the two stickers, but that would mean @SumoLego would be fronting the shipping cost.  (I'm in the middle of a trade with Sumo, so would have no problem paying for part of the shipping cost then, or making it up to him with a polybag or something.)

@Legoboy Ps... I am generally interested in one, really happy to see someone take the initiative to print and distribute, I was too busy back when I designed it and was swamped with requests to print them. My original sticker still looks good but a new shiny version would be nice

I've been a bit distracted the last few days.  I'm happy to collect stickers for those in the US.  Normally, I would pay @Legoboy for the total number of stickers, then we all share in the savings of a single envelope.

I then resend via first class mail to those in the US.  PM me if you are interested.  If not - just PM @Legoboy directly and he'll take care of it.

3 years ago I was desperate for this sticker and it bugged me when I found it selling in a BL store for something like $20 each or whatever it was, and when asked how they could possibly justify charging so much for something that was essentially designed by Brickset members collectively, was told they’d agreed the price with its designer.  I left it there.  As many of you know, I need multiples of any sticker and no way was I going to spend $100 on half a dozen, relatively simple custom sticker prints.

I’m dead pleased with how they’ve come out.  I’d been checking every now and again on Ebay for something similar to what we settled on and almost gave in earlier this year for an inferior design.  Only when I recently spotted a guy touting for work did it occur to me that he could have a go at doing our Bat-Pod sticker.  We spent a week going back and forth but only when the order arrived did I first see them for real and only last week did I look again and go wow!



Further to Sumo’s message, has it been decided now by the USers how they want to play it?  £3 each and sent direct or a share of the joint envelope and internal US postage?  Given there’s now only half a dozen stickers between you, they should all now fit within the 5mm wide allowance but will be limited to $20 insurance.  It won’t take additional ones though if people want to increase their requirement.  It’s tight.

I really want this concluded now so please confirm either way.

It was a collective effort esp from @benbacardi , I guess I just posted the final version that you are printing right now. I remember there was multiple drafts. I designed the picture on the plaque but the information was created as a group. Anyway the picture was there for literally anyone to save. Like I said I was messaged by several parties about it so I guess it was bound to end up out there in production. 

This is a photo of my plaque that I guess I made at that very time all them years ago. my paper had a matte finish so its not as pro looking.

To be fair, this paper is inbetween.  It doesn’t have the high dark gloss finish the original Tumbler plaque has, but it’s not as dull as the one you have there.  Maybe it’s just bad light.  How was yours printed?

From my home printer on a single label page! I was fairly keen to get it printed and displayed at the time. Paper and ink where not the best quality, but it does the job.
