Go Brick Me?

Is this not out yet? I had one in my hand in town on Saturday and put it back because I wanted to order from Lego for the double VIP. Had a quick google and can't seem to find it anywhere I would normally buy from.

It is bring sold on the Toys R Us site in the US, though my order hasn't shipped yet.

Thank you, that suggests it hasn't been released yet. I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not checking now. Oh well, I guess it's not going on my Lego order after all.

I believe its release date is April 1st, so its unlikely to be available for purchase on the Lego Shop before then. They don't break their own street dates. :)

^They have a few times in the USA. But it's usually only before Xmas if there stock is low, and they aren't getting another shipment.

It's annoying that it's due for release on April 1st - Easter Sunday - when all the shops are closed. I've also got a few days off work so can't get to a Lego Store until the Thursday - hoping it's not a sell-out!

(Also the double-VIP runs out on 31/3)

The internet is always open. (Although Lego [email protected] will collapse at the slightest stress.)

Nothing else I need to bump up to £50 for free delivery, and Lego's delivery is - from my limited experience - "unpredictable".

The Wal-Mart site tells me it will be available for store pickup Wedneday, March 28th.

Thanks for all the replies. If anyone is in the UK and wants one early try Smyths, that's where I saw them. Even picked one up to show the hubby as I didn't think they were out yet. I'm torn between heading back there this evening and just waiting and ordering different stuff for the VIP points.

I managed to pick up one of these in smyths on saturday. Was also handing in my Toys r us card so managed to get the 20% off too.

Ah well that answers the nagging question of whether I'd get turned down when I get it to the till... wonder if the kids fancy going to the toy shop? ;)

Ended up with Series 18 instead but can confirm I've seen Go Brick Me in both the Kirkstall and Crown Point Smyths now.

Smyths in Ireland have the Go Brick Me on sale. Also the new Marvel Brickheadz. I saw the Chewie & Han Solo behind a register - obviously taken down from the shelf.

I'm guessing that by "on sale" you mean "for sale"... They're in Smyths alright, but for the RRP of €29.99

Also saw the new CMFs, and my efforts of feeling up the packages to find the Policeman failed :/

I picked up #41597 Go Brick Me which was priced at £25.99 on Sunday from local UK Smyths store.

Thanks a lot!  Glad to hear that my review brought some alternate perspectives to bear.  I do think this is going to be a top seller!

I thought this was a brick version of Go Fund Me at first.

I've ordered mine as well, thought it was a great set when I heard about it but after reading the reviews and seeing more pictures I think it's even better. I look forward to have it around as daily builds while in the UK.

Much as I like the BH sets, there are too many exclusives that I'll never be able to get, so as a completest I decided not to bother..... ordered Go Brick Me the other day, slippery slope coming

For the price per piece and the assortment of pieces you get, might be worth doing that even if it wasn't for the purpose of building all the combinations :P

It'd only cost $112,312.55 for 2,651,460 pieces for anyone interested

Precisely, I bought them purely for the parts, though no harm playing around with the customizing too. :)

Same goes for the chess set, which I think have lots of great parts too.

My local Walmart had this set for $21.95. I have already purchased one so I got it as a back up, mostly for the parts as the piece count is awesome. I am just wondering though it they are already discounting it at Walmart if its not as popular as everyone was speculating.

Everytime I read this thread topic, all I can think is to say 'No, Go Brick Yourself!'

Wal-Mart quite often puts most Lego sets at around 20% off as their normal price. Here's how to know if it's being clearanced out: usually (not always, but usually) if it's more than 20% off and is a flat dollar amount ($17 instead of $17.95 or $17.99), then the store is gstting rid of the set.
