Lego Boost doesn't complete program list

Hi - I've been using Lego Boost / Vernie and a Kindle with my son. It all seems to work fine, but after about 10 minutes of play the Vernie will stop running through his full set of commands - so he will do a 360 turn and fail to move to the next command for instance. Sometimes switching the Kindle on and off helps, but it becomes a long process and my (ASD) son loses enthusiasm very quickly. Any thoughts much appreciated !
