Brickset Bendybadger Bonusball Bonanza- Toc13 edition

Toc13Toc13 Member Posts: 1,150
It has fallen to me to host this week's event. I'm posting a bit earlier than is usual just so I remember to do it.
I'm sure everyone knows roughly how it works by now, if not just answer the question & someone will tell you if you won.

If you want to be added to the list of those who have taken up the Badger's mantle, drop @snowhitie a message.

It so happens that it's my elder daughter's 5th birthday next week (& my wife's but I won't mention which). Some may know that she's my main Lego building companion- although on the smaller sets, she now is the builder.
Right from the start she took a liking to Star Wars (no surprise there), Superheroes & Minidolls. The latter was slightly surprising as there were only a few among many Minifigs (they're now only outnumbered 4:1). Her favourite is, without doubt #shg006 (Supergirl).

All this preamble leads me to the question(s) for this week.

Which is your favourite Minidoll? (even if you hate them all & the very idea of them, there must be one you hate slightly less)
Which Minifig would you most like to see in Minidoll form? (I'm going with either a Rebel Pilot or Sabine Wren (I think her hair would work well on the Elves))

Up on offer this week is a Martin McColl double. I know many had issues getting the last couple of offers from there, luckily my local one is very close & very good of late.
#30522 - Batman in the Phantom Zone

#853694 - Kai Keychain.

If my daughter likes the answer & it'll fit, I may throw something else in.

Good Luck!

My favourite mini doll is Harley Quinn because my eldest absolutely adores that character, and it looks nice in mini-doll form.

I think a young Princess Leia in white robes (think “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.”) would look good as a mini doll, but then you’d open the floodgates to all the OT characters. And why not? :-)

    ps: thanks for hosting
    pps: Wednesday evening? That’s early!
ppps: how many wives do you have? Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Though minidolls aren't my favorite - I really do like the Maleficent minidoll. It captures that character I think even better than the CMF ones do!

As far as a minifig I'd like to see in doll form - I have to go with a Queen Amidala in proper white makeup and red dress! I imagine it would be incredibly detailed and stylish.

No interest in minidolls but how about "Wyldstyle" for The Lego Movie?

Favorite:  Christina from the 2012 Advent calendar.
I like the idea of Wyldstyle as @ecmo47 does.

    @Toc13 thanks for hosting!

Favorite Minidoll: As they are currently the only ones owned in my household, I'll have to say Anna and Elsa. My daughter (currently 2.5 years old) is already pressing me to get her some sets, so the collection is likely to grow quickly!

Best idea to Minidoll: As I liked how her character was written in TLJ, I'd say Rose. It would be an interesting addition to the Minidoll family!

Not sure about favourite but the first one I recall liking the look of is this one...

Not sure about his "Dawson" shoes though. :oP

And I guess since I picked a male minidoll as "favourite" the one I'd like to see given the mini doll treatment is Aladdin to go with Jasmine...

Happy Birthday in advance to your wife and daughter @Toc13, thanks for hosting and good luck everyone!

Mulan since I love the movie.
Batman to add to the multitudes of Batmen plus it’ll be funny with the outsized feet.
  • SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,241
Merida is the unanimous choice at my house.  (Rapunzel is a distant second.)
  • FowlerBricksFowlerBricks Member Posts: 1,731
The green elf dude. His hair is cool, but I hate minidolls in general.

    Most like: Nadia Riverheart #elf031

Minifig I’d most like remaid as a minidoll: #cas319

    Forestwoman - Original with Quiver

    Thanks @Toc13

Not a fan but my Favourite mini doll is Ariel  - primarily because she doesn't have those ridiculous basketball feet!

What I'd like to see?  A classic spaceman!
  • norm103norm103 Member Posts: 302

frnd066: Friends Andrew looks most like my son.  As far as to make I would like to see a short mini doll just like the short mini figure.

Would love to see a catwoman
  • starwars4everstarwars4ever Member Posts: 489
Definitely Harley Quinn! And one that I would like to see is a Black Widdow. She would look very good in that form!
  • flordflord Member Posts: 797
I liked the minidoll version of the Flash.

As for what minifig... I’d love to see what a Darth Sidious would look like.
  • M_BossM_Boss Member Posts: 258
My favorite would be the Disney princesses. (Mostly because there is no minifigure princesses.)

I guess I would like to see Rey

I quite liked Poison Ivy, and I think Black Widow would be an ideal choice.
  • brickedinbrickedin Member Posts: 574
I am a big fan of Christmas Lego so have to say the mini dolls from the friends advent calendars in particular this one:
Would love to see prints like these on regular figs. I’d love to see (or hate ) a classic space minidoll.
  • Mr_CrossMr_Cross Member Posts: 1,713
I didn't like them until my little girl who is four found some in a charity shop, they are all fairly cute, I think my favourite is probably shg005 Poison Ivy.

As for minifigs I like to see as minidolls, how about Rey?

    Thanks for hosting!

  • TheFewTheFew Member Posts: 1,781
To be 100% honest the idea of minidolls is soo far out of my area of interest that I have never even bothered to look at a Friends set. I do have one friends poly somewhere which i got for free and when i can find it i will give it away to a niece. Ewwwww girls lego that is not lego... ewwww.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,728
My favorite minidoll is Sira Copperglider from the Elves line. I like the green hair and copper boots. Mainly I am just grateful for Elves in general as it keeps my girls excited about building.
  • Coolguy5000Coolguy5000 Member Posts: 1,587
My favourite I probably the first supergirl minidoll. I would like to see the black canary as a minidoll
  • daniellelego82daniellelego82 Member Posts: 38
for me i am going to say my favourite is Ursula, although overall im not a massive fan of these.

The one i would like to see would be Gamora for Guardians of the Galaxy
  • paul_mertonpaul_merton Member Posts: 2,967
    Lashina. She's pretty scary!

As for new ones, a nicely printed spiderwoman would be awesome.
  • alldarkeralldarker Member Posts: 224
Harley Quinn would be my current favorite minidoll, and I’d love to see a Princess Leia minidoll one day. Actually, I’d like an Oola minifig even more...
  • COOLEGOCOOLEGO Member Posts: 211
Minidoll has to be Snow White, the little one loves all the princesses. As a result, I would like to see Supergirl as a minidoll as my little girl loves to put the outfit on for parties.
  • GoldchainsGoldchains Member Posts: 795
I like Eclipso.  Definitely they should make the Teen Titans in minidoll form.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
Snow white is good, as is Maleficent. But I think my favourite is the bell-boy Nate from the Grand Hotel.

(Young) Leia would also look good as a minidoll in a white dress, but unless they did some males from Ep IV-VI as minidolls too then she'd probably be a bit lonely.
  • stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
As others have highlighted, I think that figs with dresses work very well as minidolls. As there hasn't been any love yet for dp040 Fairy Godmother, my vote goes to her. Think I would have preferred her in blue though, but they probably wanted to have some contrast with Cinderella in set #41146.

Something else that seems to work very well on minidolls is multicoloured hair. So another vote for Sabine Wren to get the minidoll treatment.

  • CommanderRaabCommanderRaab Member Posts: 661
I love Ariel obvz. But I love strong female characters and SW, so for me it would have to be Sabine (my cosplay fav) or Rey
  • DB361DB361 Member Posts: 299
I personally think that the sheer fantasy element of Elves is the best fit for mini dolls. One that stands out for me is Skyra from 41078.

As for what I'd like to see in mini doll form? Bit harder to answer that - though maybe it would be an improvement on the Jack Stone figures!
  • TheOriginalSimonBTheOriginalSimonB Member Posts: 1,793
I don't have that many as yet (and none of the full-skirt variety), but of the ones I do own I really like Azari firedancer.

I'll throw in another vote for a Star Wars line though (although my ultimate desire for Mini dolls would be independent legs).
  • vizzitorvizzitor Member Posts: 533
I'm going to have to go with Beast from the Beauty and the Beast set

Seconding @snowhitie with the idea for a Mary Poppins minidoll.

Thanks @Toc13 for this week's bonanza and question.
  • CaptainPirateManCaptainPirateMan Member Posts: 353
    Ariel from TLM

As for who I would like to see??? Rey from SW

Image result for wonder woman minidoll lego

    Favourite - Wonder Woman.

How about the Classic LEGO minifigure minidolled up?  Or Classic Spaceman?

  • BricklunchBricklunch Member Posts: 21

Favourite Minidoll is Friends Noah in Dark red Cropped Trousers Large (FRND177) - mostly as sand green & dark red are my fav colours.

I would like to see the Polka-Dot man get the minidoll treatment (SH397).

  • HarrymattpotterHarrymattpotter Member Posts: 46
I love a lot of the dc super hero minidolls, although my favourite would have to be batgirl, nai my because of the colours used on her

I'd love to see many if the avengers  get minidolls, although my most wanted would have to be a she-hulk
  • MudkipDoomMudkipDoom Member Posts: 37
My favourite mini doll is pascal from the tangled sets (does that count?) if not then Robert from Lego friends, and I'd like to see the snake men from Lego Ninjago as minidolls

My daughter has a bunch of Friends/Princesses, and I'd have to say my favorite of those is Flynn Rider (for patented Smolder™)

She and her brother have been super into How To Train Your Dragon, and I think my daughter would love to see an Astrid minidoll.
  • MugenPowerMugenPower Member Posts: 638
I had to look up a list of minidolls so I'll just say mermaid Ariel because... mermaid?

For a minidolls I wish to see, how about Admiral Ackbar?
  • janscjansc Member Posts: 60
    My favorite is Harley Quinn.

Queen Amidala is the one I would like to see as a minidoll.
  • BrickByBrickBrickByBrick Member Posts: 748
My favorite is the Moana one, but I would prefer them as minifigures....
I wish DIsney Princess sets used minifigures, then I'd buy them all, but since I want to see more aladdin stuff, I'll go with him, but only because I want an Abu piece...
  • StewedGiraffeStewedGiraffe Member Posts: 7
My Favorite is Farran the Earth Elf.

I would like to see Darth Vader as a minidoll.
