[US] Has anyone found CMF Series 6 yet?

Just wondering. They are listed as " in stores" on their website but has anyone found any? It is only 1 week until Lego store and [email protected] starts selling them.

I assume you mean in the US? I got a box from a TRU in the UK over 2 weeks ago.

[EDIT - Thread title prefixed with [US] for clarity]

Yes I meant in the US. They haven't shown up here in Phoenix AZ yet.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
Hmm.... I'll check here in California, haven't seen them so far tho, but now that's its listed on the website I'm sure any day we'll get news of sightings.

Seeing that LEGO is reporting they are out on Jan 9th, one has to wonder if LEGO decided that they want to be the first to release the figures in the US, because the distributors I have messaged with on eBay are reporting no boxes until end of the month, and TRU nor any other retail store seem to have them now.

At this rate, I might just get them at the Lego store.
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I usually just buy my sets of them from ebay, it seems to end up being cheaper than buying them one at a time for me, I'm not able to tell the difference in the dots on the bottom of the packages, so I just buy a whole set from ebay, the price usually isn't very much over retail and saves me the trouble of trying to get each and everyone and I don't get any duplicates that way
  • CoolsplashCoolsplash Member Posts: 935
@choob99, what price were you able to get the 16 set of previous CMF's from ebay?
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I think I paid $55 for the series 5 set when I bought it, had free shipping as well, so really not much over TRU or even WalMart retail
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
@starfire2 yea me too, Usually TRU has them at the very beginning for retail and then bumps the price up. But that's usually because they run out of previous series so they can restart the price. The way it is now, a lot of toys r us still have the previous series so releasing series 6 for cheaper than series 5 wouldn't make sense. But it seems like both TRU and Lego store will get them within a week of each other so now it doesn't look like I'll have to pay the extra 50 cents per fig TRU is asking.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
@yys4u yeah plus the TarU I was in last night had a CMF dispenser in the Lego aisle with a sign that read "5 per family per day". So not only will they be all mixed up, they will only allow 5. I think the Lego store allowed 5 per person.

Checked a store today and nothing. I wonder if there's a way to call and find out which stores have it. I know for previous series people had the UPC code and were able to call some 800 number and could see if any store in the area had them in stock, is it possible to do this without the code?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Just get the item number from the on-line listing.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
    the item number is: 155583
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
thebrickblogger.com posted an article today saying they are now available in the US. All the comments are from people who seem to be as surprised as me. The comments say they are trickling into targets, walmarts, and TRU. Also states we should check TRU first, I think I'll call some stores tonight see if they have them in stock
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
Well I called the store near me and they said they had them. I got dressed nagged my sister to come so I could have some company. Drove all the way there and I didn't see anything. Searched the front, searched the isle and finally asked an employee. He checked the computer and said they don't have them and that he doesn't think they're out yet since no other store in the system had them...

@yys4u you want to split a case with me... I can probably get one from legoland in a few weeks.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
Possibly... but I don't know if I can wait a few weeks lol
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
Lego store will probably get them in first.
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
Do Lego stores sell them by the box?
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
I don't think so. I think last series they let us get 16 each person. Better than 5 per family that TRU does. I am in AZ so not too close to Legoland like you are. Although I used to live in San Diego and still have family/friends there.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
Yea it seems like the LEGO store will get them first. Dunno if they'll sell them in boxes either though, maybe they will since they seem to be upping the production? But if @starfire2 couldn't get it for last series then it doesn't look good for this series either.

As per my earlier post, the one about a TRU employee misleading me about them having series 6 in stock, they had series 5 listed at $2.99, I was really hoping to find series 6 cause initially I thought I'd buy just 2 or 3 (not wanting to pay an inflated price) but when I saw could have them at retail I was gonna buy the whole series but no luck. Any day now though. I think SD TRU gets shipments on Tuesday/Thursday so maybe I call in the morning and see whats up. I think the TRU on Morena Blvd would sell us a box.

They are listed on the TRU [email protected]$3.49, but not available on-line and store pickup is not available. I can't seem to find the TRU number to call to find out where they are in stock.

the item number is listed under 'additional information'.

^ I think he means what's the phone number to dial for having them search stores for you. I think it's referred to as the land-based search. You can get to it via the normal 800 number (800-TOYSRUS), but you gotta go through one of the yahoos there first - who usually just does a web search first and tells you they don't sell them anymore. It's easier just to dial up the land based search people straight up. Having said all that, I haven't done it in a while and don't have the number anymore. Try telling the yahoo that you get from 800-TOYSRUS that you want the land-based search.

Not sure if they were suppose to sell them yet, but I picked some up at the Lego store tonight. You should call your stores to see they have them.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
    WHAT?!?
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
@vanhan Which LEGO store did you find them at?
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
My local Legostore says they won't have them until Monday. @vanhan: what are they limiting you to? 5, 10, ?
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
I called all the 4 LEGO stores in my area, one of them have them. I'll be headed there first thing in the morning to let you all know if its true.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
yys4u: let us know if they set limits. Thanx
  • vanhanvanhan Member Posts: 31

Found Series 6 at the Ontario, CA lego store. I know the saying about if there's no picture it didn't happen, and I took a picture at the store but I guess it didn't save... So here's a picture of my LEGO bag receipt and minifig bags, hopefully that'll convince you :)

I asked if I could buy a full box but they said they usually don't allow that for the first couple months, so I painstakingly sat there and felt through all the bags to find my set only to go checkout and realize I had miscounted and had to do it all over again.

Ultimately they let me leave with 17, I grabbed an extra roman. (well we'll see in a second cause I've yet to open all the bags...)

Is there a ratio we know of yet? What are commons?
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
@yys4u were they thrown into a bin or were they still in the box? My local Lego store manager said he should have them on Monday.
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
@yys4u.... man you really get around. :) Sacramento and Ontario Mills. What happened to supporting your local San Diego Lego store.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
@vwong haha yeah I guess from your perspective that does sound strange... but I assure you I have a reasonable explanation!
Vacation for a week in Norcal after that went to see my folks who live in Orange County, so Ontario was just a 20 min drive from their house, and was actually supposed to be back in San Diego a few days ago but came down with a serious stomach flu so I got delayed. I'll be headed back to SD today for sure this time! Then its all SD Lego store.

Sorry I couldn't split that box with you... I get really impatient when CMF come around...

@starfire2 they were thrown into a bin, and yea from the other stores I called they all said they'd have them Monday, or the 9th, which I think is the actual release date.

@jocappy I've seen the ratio around, I'm sure eurobricks has them. I don't remember all but I remember the Roman was 3 per box, and Minotaur, Celtic Warrior were 5 per box. Those were the only ones I remembered cause they're the ones I want to eventually army build. No 2 per box this time around.

I think that is in another thread somewhere in the forum
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Called the store in Indianapolis - they're not selling them until Monday.
  • vanhanvanhan Member Posts: 31
I am offended that no one believed me :(.. @donovansdad glad you got some. I guess I will have to go back since I didn't get a full set yet. If anyone looking for older CMF.. Pm me.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
    @vanhan believe you about what?
  • vanhanvanhan Member Posts: 31
That cmf were available at the Lego store... I was just kidding though
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,332
I believe you. Mine just won't have them until Monday. I am soooo anxious.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
I think everyone believed you, just not all of the stores sell them early.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
haha I believed you too! I just have had other people not believe me before that's why I had to post a picture.
