I've got some Dumbledore and Ron Brickheadz, lots of prints on Dumbledore. Going to build them soon.

I don’t understand the U.K. release dates. Please can someone either confirm what I understand or correct me:

brickheadz hermoine and harry = 1st July

    75953, 75954 and 75956 = 1st august

Neither Hogwarts express nor Ron, Dumbledore are listed at all on Lego’s U.K. [email protected] website. When are they coming out?

@theLEGOman even has Dumbledore already yet it’s not even on the website so surely it’ll be soon - presumably these were from U.K.

The Brickfan has provided some clarification for US but so what’s occurring for U.K?

And why am I so desperate to give my money to Lego?

@LuLego - interestingly, the toy shop I mentioned earlier said they had the Harry/Hedwig set and he Hermionie set but not the Dumbledor/Ron ones... I wonder if they might be a store exclusive somewhere or if they are just staggering the releases.

I seem to recall Dumbledore and Ron being listed as a Target exclusive in the US so maybe it is in the UK too?
  • theLEGOmantheLEGOman Member Posts: 1,524
These are the printed parts with Dumbledore. 2 of the first, then 6 and lastly 7.

Wow, Dumbledore looks really impressive in that pic. Thanks for sharing. I really love how they designed his glasses.

Canada Lego website says it's coming aug 1st!!! Does that mean we will miss out on the double points for the Harry Potter sets???

Ah, I wasn’t aware of that - no Target in the UK but generally Target exclusives will translate to Argos/Smyths/John Lewis exclusives for the UK. I haven’t seen anything to indicate who will have them in the UK but it’s looking more and more likely that it is a store exclusive somewhere.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,534
Thebrickfan is reporting that Target also has negotiated a one month exclusive window for all the Harry Potter sets which is why they and [email protected] US are listing them early.

Saw a giant box today at Taget. Said "LEGO display." This definitely confirms my thoughts that Target will have some huge HP displays up. Makes sense that they took over the 1 month exclusiveness from TRU.

I bought these last week at my local LEGOLAND Discovery Centre (Istanbul). They didn’t have the Ron and Dumbledore Brickheadz, neither did the LEGO Stores.

Nevermind found it! The pic is quite small but am I right in thinking there is a mix from Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter?
  • redarmyredarmy Member Posts: 741
    Newt Scamander is in there..

Great, thanks @redarmy! I for one am happy to see it includes characters from Fantastic Beasts as well as long overdue figs such as Cedric Diggory & Lee Jordan.

Oh there's a more detailed pic of the Fantastic Beasts lot. They look great. I'm more a fan of the original series but I don't mind this at all. That said I have no intention of feeling these and will just buy a box this time around.

Cho and Cedric! In house uniforms I hope!
Mad Eye, Trelawney, Lee and Luna are nice inclusions too.

Really looking forward to these. Wonder what accessories they'll all have. (And any new hairpieces :-))

Haven't completed a full set of CMFs since S17, but might be tempted with a box this time. Hope they up the quantity from 60 to 70 though, in order to give 3 full sets per box.

^You’ve got Ron on there twice.  You left off Porpentina Goldstein.  I can’t figure out what Luna is supposed to be wearing? Her pink top looks more like something Umbridge would wear?

I'm thinking distribution in a box will be:

3 Sets of the 16 'Book' figures
2 Sets of the 6 'Fantastic Beasts' figures

    Makes a perfect 60 figures.

Some will be good for parts. Other than that, I can skip this one.

Woohoo! I won't have to get Newt's suitcase to get a Niffler, Jakob or Queenie. Percival Graves looks great, while I can skip Tina (because I have the Dimensions version) and Creedence (because I don't care). The Potter figs are mostly fantastic, except for Dobby (ugh). I'll skip him, Luna (that torso wasn't great the first time around), and green Voldemort. I'm on the fence about Michael Gambon and Adolf Flitwick.

Trelawney, Ron and Neville are the highlights for me! And Gilderoy better have been left out only because he is appearing in a future set instead... Part of the castle featuring Moaning Myrtle's bathroom with MM and GL, perhaps?

Looking at the pictures of the Minifig series, I'll probably try to get the trio with their pets and the Dobby fig. Other than that I'll try to get Newt for the Nifler and maybe Cedric for the Tri-Wizard Cup. The rest just don't interest me much, though that may change when I see better pictures of each one.

^She's also got different colors, blue hat and sand blue jacket.

Are the short legs posable? Harry's ones (in robes) looks like they are.

The new Dobby doesn't look as good as the old one. I don't really see the point of duplicating the characters from the FB suitcase either. Seems a waste of spaces in the CMF series.

All the fantastic beasts characters are varients so I see the logic, though there are others I'd have preferred instead.

Great to see Cho, I was planning a Ravenclaw common room build so that'll help a lot!

Harry, Hermione and Neville Longbottom all have the new posable legs (Ron, Luna and Cho might as well have).

I'm very impressed with the series on the whole. I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan, but I enjoyed the movies, and I think the designers did a good job for all of the figures except Dobby. To me his face closer resembles that of Slughorn, rather than that of Dobby.
  • RonyarRonyar Member Posts: 373
So Lego posted that it is Dean Thomas and not Lee Jordan...

I'm a definite buy for the series. Buy Dobby's face? I find it a bit jarring!

Yeah, I can see they are variants, but not that much. I imagine that will have a bit of impact on sales of the Suitcase set.

I think that this is the first series in a very long time I actually want to get. I haven't seen fantastic beasts, so I don't care too much about those figs, but the HP figures just look amazing. I haven't actually completed a series since S12, so this will certainly be interesting.

Looks like there might be a medium sized leg that is posable.  Young Harry has the old short legs while the teen Harry (shorter than some of the adult characters) seems a bit taller with posable legs.

Drop Lee Jordan and sub in Dean Thomas.  This is per Lego PR from https://www.fbtb.net/lego-harry-potter/2018/06/27/lego-reveals-harry-potter-fantastic-beasts-collectible-minifigures/

Is that a new snake with Voldemort and a new plant piece for the mandrake that comes with Neville? I mean I think that's a mandrake since it's been a while since I've seen the movies.

Throughout the sets, CMFs, and that Toys R Us character pack, there will be minifig versions of every teacher who has an onscreen lesson, except Lockhart and Sprout. I'm fine with my 2011 Sprout (although she would benefit from the shorter skirt piece and a recolouration of Scarecrow's hair/hat), but I really, really want a fleshie Lockhart!
  • J0rgenJ0rgen Member Posts: 577
The complete absence of all Weasleys (except Ron), could point to another version of the Burrow being in the works. Based on the second film would make most sense, unless they're tying it to the sixth film again.
