Wild idea, but could the CC stand for Cloud Car & not Cloud City? :)
Did someone say a Cafe Corner re-release?!?
    Cafe Corner... in space!
Are we talking about the diner again?
Restaurant at the End of the Universe?
Or the Big Bang Burger Bar?
Obviously I meant Cosmo’s from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command ;)

Nope.  I wouldn't expect anything offical until maybe late July or early August at the very earliest based on the MilF release, and I'm sure if new leak information comes out it will be all over :P

I'm very much in favor of rampant speculation!

But, much like filling out 22 different NCAA brackets, claiming you predicted the eventual answer is annoying...

Not this again, when will you understand just because we don't know a set is coming doesn't mean other people don't know about it.

Now I'm off to look at my imaginary UCS MF that didn't get released last year!

And everyone that predicted that since about 2009 was eventually correct.

At this point I’m not sure any set could be disappointing. We’ve been waiting so long...

(of course, that same logic applied to The Phantom Menace...)

Yesterday Annie predicted the sun will come out tomorrow; she even bet her bottom dollar, but so far no sun. Eventually, it will come out, so technically, she will be correct.
I failed to sacrifice a goat to the sun god yesterday. So it may not come out.

Can we dispense with 'crediting' people with 'being right' about an educated-shot-in-the-dark prediction?

You can, but that doesn't mean I have to tell you! ;)

I don't think people will be disappointed, but that depends on the price, of course!

Guys its not hard, when people tell you something you can take it with a pinch of salt there is not problem with that. When somebody tells you something and in the past they have been right I think then we can give them the benefit of the doubt.

I don't understand the point of knocking everything down because once someone said something that wasn't right. Use some judgment about where the rumour comes from.

And Sumo this is why we should crediting people for being right because then we know for next time to listen to them. The MF rumour came with other info that was right, it was not a lucky guess the fact that some of you still want to knock it is astonishing.

Moving on because we have someone it in our midst who has seen it. @Paperballpark can you tell us anything about it. Is it more like #10143 , #10188 or #10123 ?
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,268
Hmm, I'd say a cross between #10188 and #10123. In fact, lop the bottom half off #10188, add a couple of platforms and a ship or two (can't remember!), and you'll be pretty much there.

I really can't remember much detail other than that, I'm afraid. If I were to guess at part count, I'd say between 2000-3000, but that's a total guess based on what I remember it looking like.

^ Thanks very helpful, definitely a playset then. I am running out of room to display things like this so I might have to just stick it on the top of the death star. Will kind of look like BB8 then.

Slave I and Cloud Car perhaps?
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,268
^ I meant I can't remember whether there was one or two! I definitely remember one, and I think I can remember there being a second, but if there is I can't remember what it is.
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 3,872

I'm not a massive Star Wars fan tbh, although I do like it. So although I remember the shape and vague things like that, I can't say I remember any of the details! I'm not one of these people who could tell you every scene in Cloud City, and who was in it. It's frustrating, I know. Sorry!
  • KaitchKaitch Member Posts: 386
That sounds like a lovely kit. But just a warning, @Paperballpark, if something goes wrong and it isn't released, people will take the mickey for at least three days.

^ That's fine. Oh, also, there's a Slave 1 in it too, probably about 28 - 30 studs long, from what I saw. Nice-looking model, although obviously smaller than #8097. I think it uses this part for the front:

Although it could also be this part:

    I can't remember!
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,268
Definitely larger than that. I remember counting about 24-26 studs long on the ship, not including the red bit at the front.

What about all of those dreary days in between when it's overcast and she's still in a hard knock life?

    Quasimodo predicted all of this.

@Paperballpark the first Slave I, #7144 was 27 studs long...I'll be getting this. I should just send my paychecks to LEGO.

A midi-scale Slave I would make sense for a Cloud City UCS 'playset' - both iterations of the Death Star had midi-scale TIE Advanced models for Vader so it's definitely not a stretch to imagine that a similar formula would apply to a key vehicle in Cloud City

Perhaps they want to finish selling the System sized ROJ Destroyer before introducing another one.

^Does it though? We have only seen one version of the Cloud Car, yet 2 versions of the the T-16. A new Cloud Car is way overdue; this could just mean that there may be a new CC coming our way.

The fact we have been told there is a Cloud City coming will do for me.

Really like the look of this figure it makes me more excited for the set.

^ Cloud Car Pilot!!! Either it's a Cloud City set, including a Cloud Car with pilot & gunner, or it's a UCS Cloud Car.
