Old Hulk would be so easy to find! A series like this would be pretty cool. I saw a few clips of that movie and it looked like a neat idea.
Yeah, Big Figs would probably be pretty obvious-it just seems like the only means of getting such a set of figures.

The quality/popularity of various Warner Bros. properties aside, I like the idea of a set(s) of Super Heroes figures based on some animation exclusive characters/versions of characters, such as:

    • Mandarin (Iron Man: Armored Adventures)
    • Tony Stark " "
    • Titanium Man " "
    • James Rhodes " "
    • Pepper Potts " "
    • Proto the Bat-Bot (Batman: The Brave and the Bold)
    • Dark Knight Batman " "
    • Owlman " "
    • Phantasm (Batman: Mask of the Phantasm)
    • Grey Ghost (Batman: The Animated Series)
    • Various others
As far as another Lego Ninjago Movie series goes, I believe we are missing a few of Garmadon's techs and a narwhal member of the Shark Army, along with some other Shark Army members.

At this point in CMF, I wouldn't mind a Throwback/Best Of series with different printings or colored parts so as not to upset the collector's market.

Right now Hasbro is reissuing retooled and repainted Marvel Legends figures with vintage packaging from the 90s. Something that like for CMF would be neat for kids and collectors late to the party.

You could do straight up recolors of Unicorn Girl, or do a reprinted female dwarf (that one is recent, but still) and a male Samurai (did they do one before?).

I'd also love a throwback CMF wave that maybe had 20 figures, 5 each from different lines in history:

Space: Classic Blacktron, Green Space Police, Ice Planet with chainsaw, M-Tron Robot, Classic Space Man

Knights: Griffon Knight with the old knight helm, Dragon Knight with the cool flippy visor, Woodswoman Thief with dagger and crossbow and the deer head herald printed somewhere, Eagle Footman with shield and halberd.

Pirates: Redbeard update with parrot, Admiral, Islander Chief, Anne Bonny Pirate Lass with cutlass and monkey, Royal Navy Soldier with the backpack and rifle we all had

City: Classic LEGO cop with the white hat, Paradisa Beach Girl, Classic Fire Chief, Nautica Captain, EMT

I think a Star Wars cmf line would be amazing. They could put some lesser known characters in it. Say, for instance, Wuher.

    OR

They could re-hash a set from a few years ago where the only different character from the previous version could be Wuher and they could charge us 45 quid for him.

I wonder what TLG would rather do.

Seems a bit late in the game (pun not intended) but a LEGO Dimensions set seems like a pretty cool idea to me:

    • Lord Vortech
    • Cowboy Vortech
    • Dorothy Gale
    • The Tinman
    • The Cowardly Lion
    • The Scarecrow (Oz)
    • Sauron (if we can't get him any other way)
    • Maggie Sawyer
    • Jimmy Olson
    • John "Hannibal" Smith
    • H.M. "Howlin' Mad" Murdock
    • Templeton "Face" Peck
...those are honestly the main ones I'd be concerned with.

    ... a male Samurai...
I think they did.  (CMF S3 - only the best figure ever!)

Found a few more from The Lego Batman Movie:
    • El Dorado
    • Mad Hatter
    • Samurai

I honestly don't care for most of the Dimensions themes outside of the original story pack/first wave releases; the A-Team is a bit of an exception, and the three heroes listed above are among the only DC characters from the Lego Batman Movie not to have a physical minifigure form at all.

  • SearchlightRGSearchlightRG Member Posts: 271
Actually...it seems El Dorado is in a 2018 set.

While we're playing around with the unlikely, there's definitely a few Ninjago minifigs I don't see becoming physical anytime soon:
    • Barracudox
    • Cardinsto
    • Evil Bees
    • Gahrann the Dreamer
    • Kirchonn the Invincible
    • Lar
    • Phantom Ninja (from Cole: Ninja of Earth)
    • Seliel (I know I already said her, but I like her and it still seems unlikely)
    • Seliel's Father (the poor guy has no name, but he's a snappy dresser)
    • Time Ninja (with Mask of Malice?)
    • Postman (Blackout variant)
    • Cyrus Borg (Normal version with wheelchair)
    • Warden/Principal Noble
    • Mystake
    • Emperor of Ninjago (seen in Season 8 trailer)
    • Empress of Ninjago (" "; I don't see them being very active with Harumi around)
    • Armored Ronin (from the Shadow of Ronin videogame)
    • Young Sensei Yang
    • The First Spinjitzu Master
    • Gayle Gossip

Here’s what I thought in a previous thread... don’t think I’ve changed my mind much, besides swapping out the PowerPuff Girls and a few others.

I'd like to see a Classic Hanna-Barbera CMF series done, including, but not limited to:

    • Scooby-Dumb
    • Scrappy-Doo
    • Fred Flintstone
    • Wilma Flintstone
    • Barney Rubble
    • Betty Rubble
    • Captain Caveman
    • George Jetson
    • Jane Jetson
    • Rosie the Robot
    • Huckleberry Hound
    • Snagglepuss
    • Quick Draw McGraw
    • Tom Cat
    • Jerry Mouse
    • Yogi Bear
    • Boo-Boo
    • Ranger Smith
    • Dick Dastardly
    • Muttley

... and another CMF series of just Looney Tunes characters would kick ass... :D Of course another series of Disney would be awesome too! I'd like to see.....

    • Goofy
    • Scrooge
    • Chip
    • Dale
    • Mad Hatter
    • March Hare
    • Belle
    • Beast
    • Snow White
    • Evil Queen
    • Jasmine
    • Jafar
    • Hercules
    • Hades
    • Eric
    • Triton
    • Cruella
    • Pinocchio

I feel like these would compliment the previous series’ characters, plus help to populate the Castle even more. Huh, but I don't have any Pixar guys on that list. Weird, haha! XD Army Man and Merida maybe? Frozone? Tuck & Roll would be hilarious, but the extra arms/torso would make them too big. Dunno if a regular-sized head & legs Woody & Jessie would work either. Bo Peep, Dolly, and a bunch of other Toy Story characters could easily fill in, or maybe even make a full series?

    Anyway, alternates would be...

    • Pluto
    • Bernard
    • Bianca
    • Lilo
    • Aurora
    • Robin Hood
    • Marian
    • Wendy
    • Cinderella

    I think I prefer the classics. :D

How about the "improbables" (a set comprised mostly of characters LEGO probably wouldn't ever do, or just couldn't ever do):

    Series 1:
    • Withnail
    • & I (Marwood)
    • Nigel Tufnel
    • David St.Hubbins
    • Derek Smalls
    • Tyler Durden
    • 'Jack' (or the narrator from Fight Club)
    • Marla Singer
    • Ripley
    • Xenomorph
    • Connor MacLeod
    • The Kurgan
    • Brian of Nazareth
    • Roger Rabbit
    • Jessica Rabbit
    • 'V'
    • Evie
    • Neo
    • Agent Smith
    • Trinity
I suspect I've missed many classics and favourites in that list, but would love to see other people's suggestions for the unlikeliest candidates!

^ I'd like some of those!
The current bonusball is asking for minidoll suggestions and I'd like to see a whole Star Wars range of them (predominantly a Rey and OT Leia) as a series... however unlikely that maybe, and that got me thinking of other unlikely minifigures...

    Improbables Series 2:
    • Hellboy
    • Abe Sapien
    • Liz Sherman
    • Judge Dredd
    • Judge Anderson

You want unlikely or just impossible ...

    The Holy Moly series

Jesus (with new flexible shoulder joints)
Pontius Pilate (the army builder minifig of the series, so limit to 2 in a box of 60)
Bat-Jesus (there's got to be a Batman costume)
Brian of Nazareth (exactly the same parts as Jesus but slightly smaller beard)
Christian God (obviously the female version)
Bat-God (there's got to be more than one Batman costume)
    Obi-Wan Kenobi
    Joseph (with multicoloured cape)
John the Baptist (with removable head, obviously)
Martin Luther (20 per box in Spain and Italy)
The Bishop of Bath and Wells (with red hot poker)
    Cain (but not Abel)
Lot's wife (transformation version, plain white minifigure, but not Lot)
    Noah's wife (but not Noah)
    Eve (but not Adam)
    Delilah (but not Samson)

    That should end LEGO.

Its been basically confirmed by several sources now that there will be a Unikitty 'CMF' series this year.  I put the CMF in quotes, because they are supposedly more like mixel builds than the other CMF series, which does make sense for the Unikitty characters.  I don't think much more than it exists and it's this year has been leaked yet, however.  There may be some related information available at the LEGO House, but I don't think anyone that has visited has said WHAT exactly that information is, or at least it hasn't gotten out to the wider community.

Game of thrones, all the main characters! Lego could make so much money with this, but they are too afraid for their reputation because this show is adult-rated... I already have 18 minifigs of GoT which I bought from custom made suppliers (it cost me between 10 and 15 Euros each though): Jon Snow (and his wolf Ghost), Daenerys (and 3 small dragons), Ned Stark, Rob Stark, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, Jaimie Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Joffrey Lannister, Littlefinger, Varys, Melisandre, Brienne of Tarth, Khal Drogo, Thormund, Ygritte and a White Walker

How about an animals CMF? It technically wouldn't be minifigs but a series I believe would sell. Get some dogs and cats with new prints. I don't know if horse sized animals would fit in the foil pouches. I know it's far fetched but minifigs have been done to death.

It would be nice if they discreetly secured the IP, and did a 'generic' CMF series of medieval 'fantasy' characters.

I would love that, it's tricky to get animals without buying other bits, so blind bags would be really useful. Perhaps some generic animals like rabbits, cats and dogs, and then some more unusual animals, giraffes, foxes, snakes and my favorite a llama.

No. It wouldn't be minifigs so shouldn't be done as part of the CMF series. But fine if they do it separately. They have done (not blind) bagged animal sets before, in the friends line - an animal plus their habitat.

Really wish there was a second Disney series, but that's been covered already. One that I would love to see if there wasn't a license conflict is Futurama.
    1. Fry with pizza box
    2. Leela with blaster
    3. Professor Farnsworth with beaker
    4. Bender with bottle
    5. Zoidberg with a bouquet of flowers
    6. Hermes with a clipboard (2x2 tile)
    7. Amy with hairbrush
    8. Zapp with blaster
    9. Kif with picture of Amy
    10. Calculon with signed picture of himself (2x2 tile)
    11. Roberto with knife
    12. Scruffy with mop
    13. Nixon's head in a jar with Agnew's body
    14. Mom with jar of robot oil (1x1 round)
    15. Robot Devil with Holophonor
    16. Tinny Tim with crutch

Well, the announcement about Nexo Knights seems to put the kibosh on a CMF series for the line, if there was ever much chance in the first place. It’s honestly not too disappointing-the sets have taken care of most of the series’ villains apart from comic relief ones like Roberto Arnoldo and the Tighty Knighties. Additionally, the only variant of any of the Knights that hasn’t been released in a set that I’m aware of is Macy in her dress. The most interesting possibilities for such a line would probably have been a Monstrox minifigure, Jestro prior to his first corruption, and various Knighton residents, in my opinion.

If Disney ever does another line, I think they could get a lot out of the Disney afternoon: DuckTales, Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, and TaleSpin.

    DC Superheroes

    Superman (classic Golden Age)
Wonder Woman (in battle armor and shield)
    Batman (classic Golden Age)
Green Lantern (Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner)
    Captain Marvel (SHAZAM)
    Booster Gold
    Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)
    Fire
    Ice
    PowerGirl (with cat)
    Raven
    Kid Flash
    Aqualad
    Dr. Light
    Larfleez (Orange Lantern)
    Bizarro
    Superboy (jean jacket and sunglasses)
    Black Adam
    Doomsday
Green Lantern Corps member (Kilowog or Tomar Re)

There’s so many DC Heroes I want that it’s hard to make a 20 figure set without going crazy!

It's one thing to directly feature trademarked characters who have appeared in a wide variety of media (ranging from kids' cartoons to adult-focused movies and comics). It's another thing entirely to feature characters whose media appearances are limited solely to books and TV aimed at adults. And I'd love to sit in on the negotiations you suggest where Lego would supposedly propose purchasing the license to another brand, only to be used in a manner that would not feature the brand or character names at all and if anything, would dilute their trademark by creating a "generic" alternative. I can't imagine that would go well.

    Adventure Time

I’d love a full set to compliment the minifigures I got from LEGO Dimensions. I added the four from Dimensions with alternative outfits since they’re pretty popular.

Finn the Human (with vine arm and B-Mo)
Jake with violin (and stretchy arms like Ms Marvel)
    Flame Princess
    Bubble Gum Princess
    Ice King (with Gunter)
Marceline (with floppy garden hat and evil face on opposite side of head)
Lumpy Space Princess (dressed in shopping bag)
    The Lich
    Earl of Lemongrab
    Peppermint Butler
    Banana Guard
    Magic Man
    King Of Ooo
    Susan Strong
    Cinnamon Bun
    Abracadaniel
    Sophia
    Cake
    Marshall Lee
    Prince Gumball

Don't you know that there are no females and Dwarves just spring out of holes in the ground?
I've only just got up to date with this thread but had to come back to what was said on the 11th.

There are dwarf women but they often get mistaken for men, and seem to wear beards when going off on a journey too.. Although this might be different in a not Tolkien universe since this is my source:

It was said by Gimli that there are few dwarf-women, probably no more than a third of the whole people. They seldom walk abroad except at great need. They are in voice and appearance, and in garb if they must go on a journey, so like to the dwarf-men that the eyes and ears of other peoples cannot tell them apart. @snowhitie Love the Tolkien references. To be honest, I don't know how widespread the concept of Dwarf women resembling Dward men is across fantasy; it seems like typically you only see male Dwarfs/Dwarves, as in The Chronicles of Narnia and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The only other franchise I can think of off hand that has female Dwarves is The Inheritance Cycle...and I prefer not to think about that particular Star Wars ripoff.

Having thought about it, it would probably be better to split the Disney Afternoon into a couple sets, assuming they'd be popular enough-and I figure they are:

    DuckTales and Darkwing Duck
    • Scrooge McDuck
    • Darkwing Duck
    • Huey
    • Dewey
    • Louie
    • Goslyn
    • Launchpad McQuack
    • Webby Vanderquack
    • Honker Muddlefoot
    • Gizmoduck
    • Flintheart Glomgold
    • Negaduck
    • Magic De Spell
    • Steelbeak
    • Big Time Beagle
    • Burger Beagle
    • Bouncer Beagle
    • Megavolt
    • Bushroot
    • Morgana MacCawber

Goof Troop and TaleSpin (and Duck leftovers)

    • Goofy
    • Baloo
    • Max (with Waffles)
    • Kit
    • P.J.
    • Louie
    • Peg
    • Rebecca
    • Pistol (with Chainsaw)
    • Molly
    • Pete
    • Shere Khan
    • Don Karnage
    • Mrs. Beakley
    • Quackerjack
    • Gyro Gearloose
    • The Liquidator
    • Duckworth

Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers might also be a possibility, I suppose, though they'd be out of scale with the other characters if you did them as minifigures. I suppose you could always throw them in as microfigures with others in these sets...

I can't imagine that would go well.
I suppose that depends on how big the check or royalty fee is.

And I'm sure LEGO would never risk a leak of such an arrangement.  'Secret LEGO/HBO merchandising deal for GoT minifigs' backlash!  I'm surprised someone over at Hasbro hasn't tried to tarnish LEGO's image by tieing the Deadpool minifig to some endorsement of the non-kid friendly movie...

I was thinking more of a wink-wink nod-nod arrangement would have been better anyway.

Hasbro would not exactly be in much of a place to do so, considering it has also featured its fair share of Deadpool toys over the years. ;)

Besides, Deadpool is in the same boat as the Suicide Squad characters—he has appeared across multiple media aimed at a variety of age ranges (including the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon), and how appropriate/inappropriate he is for kids scales accordingly. Even in the comics, it's not uncommon for him to cameo in all-ages comics despite his own series being likely to include profanity, sexual content, and graphic violence.

Most other toy manufacturers have no reservations with regard to themes relating to war, violence or other non-kid-friendly stuff.  LEGO obviously, has a different policy.

LEGO did end their licensing relationship with Shell because (in part) of environmental concerns and protests.  And LEGO is a petroleum product.

    Adventure Time

I’d love a full set to compliment the minifigures I got from LEGO Dimensions. I added the four from Dimensions with alternative outfits since they’re pretty popular.

Finn the Human (with vine arm and B-Mo)
Jake with violin (and stretchy arms like Ms Marvel)
    Flame Princess
    Bubble Gum Princess
    Ice King (with Gunter)
Marceline (with floppy garden hat and evil face on opposite side of head)
Lumpy Space Princess (dressed in shopping bag)
    The Lich
    Earl of Lemongrab
    Peppermint Butler
    Banana Guard
    Magic Man
    King Of Ooo
    Susan Strong
    Cinnamon Bun
    Abracadaniel
    Sophia
    Cake
    Marshall Lee
    Prince Gumball

    It's a viola

But yeah l'd jump on this idea

I still just want any excuse for Nintendo LEGO:

    1. Mario (Standard)
    2. Peach
    3. Bowser
    4. Link (Breath of the Wild Blue tunic)
    5. Zelda (Breath of the Wild Fieldwork outfit)
    6. Bokoblin (Breath of the Wild)
    7. Samus Aran
    8. Fox McCloud
    9. ROB 64
    10. Chibi-Robo
    11.Captain Olimar
    12. Red Pikmin
    13. Inkling Girl
    14. K.K Slider
    15. Isabelle
    16. Popo (Ice Climbers)
    17. Nana (Ice Climbers)
    18. Captain Falcon

    Series 2

    1. Mario (Fire Flower costume)
    2. Mayor Pauline (Mario Odyssey)
    3. Luigi
    4. Daisy
    5. Donkey Kong
    6. Diddy Kong
    7. Dixie Kong
    8. Link (Wind Waker)
    9. Tetra (Wind Waker)
    10. Gannondorf (Wind Waker)
    11. Falco Lombardi
    12. Slippy Toad
    13. Zero Suit Samus
    14. Ness
    15. Inkling Boy
    16. Tom Nook
    17. Louie (Pikmin 2)
    18. Blue Pikmin

I could go on. With some very long running series there’s scope for a lot of variants of core characters - Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey proove that with the masses of alternate costumes.

I just want more generic CMF releases. I love all the new prints and moulds we usually get from those. Especially the animals. We got a cobra, a pengiun, a skunk, a bulldog, a terrier, etc.

A series of just animals would be great. Cows, birds, goats, cats, snakes, rats, chickens, pigs, dogs, lions and tigers and bears...

I agree, playmobil do this, and it's very popular with children and adults as it makes them affordable. Trying to make a zoo or a farm with Lego would be out of the question for lots of people as the prices of some animals are just so expensive.

I think the Friends pets/animals polys series sold pretty well.  Some City-themed animals should/would do well.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
Yes, LEGO did this recently with the small Friends animal sets. I'm not convinced that the animals woud be much cheaper than their secondary market prices. LEGO sells them direct though B+P, and they end up about £5 each for a big cat.

This has possibly been suggested before and I know TLG will not go for another space IP due to SW, but I would like lego to do some B5 cmf
    2 series are needed.

    1. Commander Jeffrey Sinclair, Black hair and Grey Hair.
    2. Kosh, in encounter suit.
    3. Susan Ivanova, Earthforce uniform, with a printed B5 report.
    4. Delenn Minbari form with robes.
    5. Delenn, Partial Human form with Triluminari.
    6. Londo Mollari, with a glass and bottle possibly poison.
    7. G'kar with a Book of G'Qan.
    8. A Centauri Palace Guard with sword.
    9. Milashi Voktal, a Vree.
    10. Zum Bartrado, a Brakiri.
    11. Marcus with Minbari pyke.
    12. A Drazi, in green.
    13. Vir Cotto, with a 2x2 report.
    14. Dr Stephen Franklin, with a Syringe.
    15. Michael Garibaldi, with PPG, hair and with bald head piece.
    16. Lyta Alexander, normal face and Vorlon face.
    17. Talia Winters, psi corps uniform.
    18. Zathras, with a spanner.
    19. Captain Sheridan Earthforce uniform with 2x2 printed B5 report.
    20. Lennier, with a minbari pyke.
    21. Lorien, the chase figure.

    1. Captain Sheridan, B5 uniform with a PPG.
    2. Captain Elizabeth Lochley, B5 uniform.
    3. Zack Allen. B5 uniform with PPG.
    4. Susan Ivanova, in B5 uniform with PPG.
    5. A Soul hunter.
    6. Bester,with PPG.
    7. Na.toth with a 2x2 page showing a Shadow Warrior.
    8. Mr Morden, with a cup of tea.
    9. Ta'lon, with katana.
    10. Emperor Cartagia, with whip.
    11. Abbai, Matriarch.
    12. Kullenbrak a Brakiri.
    13. Miziri Tal, a Hyach.
    14. Leshar, a Gaim with microphone.
    15. Juphar Trkider, a Drazi in purple.
    16. President Sheridan, with a 2x1 report.
    17. Suarez Cil'Tlakh, a Llort.
    18. Neroon, with minbari pyke.
    19. Draal, with a mug.
    20. Minister Chorlini a Centauri with 2x1 report.
    21. Chase figure, Emperor Mollari, with keeper attached.

A third and fourth series could be made with minor characters including several Narn, several Minbari, several Centauri including Londo's Wives and other Emperors, and several Humans of Earthforce, Mars Resistance, The Edgars, Psi Corps and ISN, with a few minor alien races to fill out the series.

To me, many of the lists just highlight why LEGO shouldn't do licensed CMF series unless backed up by a strong series of sets (which means a popular IP). There are loads of characters that most people won't have heard of or recognize that could be done, so maybe of interest to die hard fans but not the general public. And if they were going to get such a license (or in the case of SW, have the license) then the money is there in large sets of ships or similar rather than just selling minifigures as CMF.

I'm a bit surprised they are going to do a HP series, but at least that probably helps drives sales of the larger sets. And it is a very popular, and current, IP.

They've done The Big Bang Theory and that gave us seven minifigures. They could have done an entire CMF with that one too, without re-doing the main seven characters. The IP was popular enough for them to do a single set, but would people have bought CMF too? I doubt it. They could have done multiple series without the main characters, so along the lines of:

    Comic Book Store Stuart
    Wil Wheaton
    Captain Sweatpants
    Lonely Larry

    Professor Proton
    Leslie Winkle
    Barry Kripke
    President Siebert

    Mr Koothrappali
    Mrs Koothrappali
    Priya Koothrappali
    Lucy

    Mrs Hofstadter

    Mrs Cooper

    Bert

    Zack
    Kurt

    Mike Rostenkowski

    Janine from HR

And loads of real people guest stars...
(Wil Wheaton is recurrent enough to be above)
    Stephen Hawking
    Stan Lee
    Elon Musk
    Mike Massimino
    Neil deGrasse Tyson
    Steve Wozniak
    James Earl Jones
    etc

And that is only up to about series 6 or 7.

It would probably be a worse seller than Simpsons Series 2.
