Oooh. I've got a lot of figs I really like. Off the top of my head, I really like Toryn Farr, R3-A2, and K3PO from AoH, Airen Cracken and the Grey Squadron Pilot from 75050, Aayla Secura (2017), 4-LOM and Bossk from the battle pack, and Quinlan and Luminara from last year's CTT. I don't think I can pick favorites out of those.

I still don't think I can pick just two, so I'll go for two licensed:

I could easily have put most Darth Vaders instead of ET but despite being rather simplified, I'm so glad they did him. Theoden is probably the best minifigure ever made in terms of detail.

    And two CMF:

Err...Theoden being the best ever in terms of detail? Have you seen Silver Centurion?? I do have to agree that he is a superb figure though, Lego did an excellent job of rendering the actor face into minifigure form.

Oh, I love so many minifigures. A couple of left-field minifigure choices for me are Anti-matter from the Ultra Agents theme and Samurai X from Ninjago.

As promised, here is a picture of the Rock Raider minifigs.
And why is Deadpool such a prized fig? I don’t consider him one of my more exclusive ones.

^ Exclusive, prized, and valued are probably all different things to each person. I think most people that really like the Deadpool figure is because it hits the second two. It’s not completely exclusive given that it was available for a decent amount of time and you didn’t have to go out of your way to get it (like some polybags, etc.), but only in one set and after the movie was released it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever get another one. So there’s the prized part by many people because we probably won’t be seeing another one. As for valued, well again, only appeared in one set ever, is a popular character, and won’t likely be reproduced, so it does have some value associated with it.

Yeah, he is pretty popular. As I mentioned before, I had Deadpool and I just am not a fan, so I traded him. Those Rock Raider guys look pretty good for older minifigs. Cool stands too.

Agreed. I’ve enjoyed hearing about sentimental value and which minifigures people hold dear for various obscure reasons.

Ok, maybe can exclude blue spaceman since he's in way too many sets. :)
nice, I have all but the green and gray, they're probably the most rare though. :(

My favorite would have to be these guys.

They were the first real shiny figs I owned. And they just look so darn cool.
Those shadow troopers are awesome, I have them on my shelf right next to the original shadow troopers

I think it's either one of the 50 - 2010 prototypes of the Clone Wars variant of R2 printed in bright purple rather than blue or a custom print. I would imagine the former due to the thread title and Its a wonderful minifigures that reminds me of R2-KT which has a really nice story as to where the droid originated from.

It was a feature story in the LEGO Corporate Magazine, as well.

Right, I didn't buy very much LEGO back then. And I've never bought an Ideas set. Now I see where the gray one came from, custom with the rocket boy's torso

Well, I gotta update this now by saying the Infinity War Bricktober version of War Machine slots into 1st place now. Silver Centurion takes 2nd. That War Machine design is just sick. It really is. And almost as detailed as the Centurion.

My most expensive minifig I believe is the original Cloud City Boba Fett, but some of my favorites are the Special Forces Commander from the Yoda Chronicles book, the Prototype White Boba Fett from the Star Wars Minifigures book, and the Death Watch Mandalorian from #75022. I really like Jango Fett as well.

If we can count customs, I do have a custom Wat Tambor that is really high quality and looks great, but obviously isn't 100% Lego.

My favorite two minifigs would def be the Wonder Twins. They so rarely get merchandise period, that seeing them produced as Lego minifigs pretty much sent me over the moon. They're not overly rare or expensive, but they're absolutely my favorites. :D

Value / Exclusivity-wise has to be my three Lesters and Hamley's Royal Guard, plus Batman and the Joker from the UCS Tumbler.

Sentimentally, my 3 Blacktron I figs from childhood.  Nod to Lester and the Royal Guard as well, since I picked those up on my Honeymoon...

This is a hard question for me, to be honest. Because I'm not an avid minifig collector, my emotional response is grounded in less quantifiable stuff. So I'll choose two :-)

So, back when I was a lad, me and my brother played with Space a lot. Him more than me as my parents had decided that I should have Town more than Space, and my brother deserved all the big Space sets, but I digress. So we played with the spacemen and got excited when they brought out new colours, but eventually my brother got a bit bored of Lego and I played with it more than him. I still didn't get the big Space sets (as now my brother didn't get them, my parents decided that no-one should have them) but I still got a few. And that was when these dudes came out:

Spacemen with zippers and helmets with visors but still with the space logo?! Awesome! I never thought the design would ever change and it blew me away that it had. Alas, it was shortly after when I descended into my DA and it was a while before I came back out...

So, when I returned to the hobby, I was mainly interested in the builds. But there was one range of minifigs I liked, and out of that range (rather unsurprisingly), it's this dude I liked the most:

Back before I ever thought they would start making minifigs of superhero characters (yes, I'm aware that this seems very naive these days) out of all the ones I imagined I would want, Captain America was right up there. And then, amazingly, they made him real. And it's a love story that continues to this day. He's just such a brave little dude...

I find it curious that parents are evaluating the relative suitableness of LEGO themes.  Maybe just a different era?

Chosing toys was frequently a teaching moment (quality, playability, etc.), that I now inflict upon my children.

I'd have to say my favorite - and therefore most prized - minifigs range between the incredibly complex printing of nowadays vs. the charm of yesteryears'. I'd lean toward the Silver Centurion or the Bricktober War Machine, as they're incredible minifigs, but I also have a soft spot for the Unitron figs (I made many Boba Fetts out of that torso with an Imperial Soldier backpack and a dark gray helmet with black visor in the days before Lego Star Wars).  If I had to pick one, of all the ones I have, it would either be Darth Revan, Silver Centurion, or Majisto from the old Dragon Knights theme. This is a tough question and I'm glad there are a lot of choices with which to answer.

Most prized would be all of my 80s mix and match fig "gangsters" who would constantly have shootouts in the streets with my brother's gang (all recently reacquired after a 25 year hiatus).

Most valuable are apparently Velma (around $70 :o) Davey Jones (around $50), and a version of Greedo ($20).  Although I'm not particularly tied to these and have already sold one of each through bricklink.
