Harry Potter: Hogwarts Castle, Hogwarts Express & Diagon Alley NEW £1100!

JessyDooDahJessyDooDah Member Posts: 228
As the title says:

Hogwarts Castle 4842
Hogwarts Express 4841
Diagon Alley 10217

All brand new, sealed and with excellent box condition.

I've just been hit with a massive bill, it's christmas, I'm broke!
I have all these listed separately on eBay for £1,245 + postage (which is already reasonable), I am willing to sell to a fellow Bricksetter today for £1100 inc UK postage.
Check out the pictures here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/everything-is-awesome

I've been on this forum for years, but less active lately as my focus has been elsewhere.
Please send me a message if you have any questions.

Cheers!
Jess :)

    No interest in these?
    I thought £1100 was a good price?

There are quite strong rumours that LEGO will be doing Harry Potter sets again, and the recent re-release of the Taj Mahal and the updated UCS MF have probably killed the value of older sets that have increased in price so much.

    I see!
i didn’t know about the hp rerelease rumours.
What do you think is a fair price considering?
i sold a 4842 castle for £550 a couple of weeks ago, so should still be some decent money in them. :)

Not 100% sure on pricing but you might be better with individual prices for each set, rather than as a bundle. It's an expensive time of year and even though £1100 might be a good price, people might be more willing to spend £300 on a single set as they have quite a lot of other things to pay out for during the festive season. :)

Good luck selling, I love the Harry Potter sets and wish i'd been into collecting when the came out. :)

I think you are best leaving them on ebay, where less people are likely to know about the rumours! Especially in the run up to Christmas.

If they are not already, allow best offer but auto-reject any below a reasonable threshold (say £525 for 4842 if you want £550). As people often buy if they think they are getting a bit of a bargain. Then you have a couple of days to decide whether to accept the offer or aim for your £550. Good luck!

    Thanks @CCC & @Lego_Minon,
i do have these listed separately on eBay, but figured someone here might want a discount for the set. :)
