Lego Cheerleader cmf

VenunderVenunder Member Posts: 2,655
There have been four Cheerleader cmf so far.
2010 The Blue cmf 1 has the letter M
2012 The Red cmf 8 has the letter A
2015 The Dark Green cmf 14 Zombie has a letter Z.
2017 The Bricktober Green has the letter J.

There probably is some significance to the lettering but I have not seen any info about it. Have you?

Maybe the designer's initial in some cases?

M and A are the initials for Matthew Ashton, one of the lead designers in the collectible minifigures theme if I recall correctly. This info was in the Lego Minifigures Character Encyclopedia that came with the Toy Soldier. Z is likely just for zombie, but I'm not sure what J is for.

Coincidence, or grand plan by a LEGO designer?

Would L simply be too on the nose?

I'd love them to do an alphabet series, with otherwise plain torsos with letters on. They'd be great for doing kids' names for door signs and birthday cakes.

They could throw a real curve ball and have an animal or even a costume figure printed on he torso instead. E.g I’d love them to do an orange based one with a tiger printed on the front of the torso, and maybe “TIGERS” on the back.

I’d mostly prefer that, just a small part of me would love for them to somehow put out torsos with every letter on, but the more frequently it takes up a CMF spot the worse it gets.

I want a male torso with an 'M', 'T' or 'B' on it. And a female torso with 'C', 'E' or 'L' on it. Obviously, they're our initials. Yes, I know we could get them from minifig.me, but I'd prefer off-the-shelf original Lego (time and money being what they are). How hard would it be to include them in the build-a-figure thing they have in every store? I'm probably being naïve there...

It wouldn't necessarily need to be a CMF line. In fact, doing it in a CMF line would probably be a bad idea, as most people wouldn't want the entire alphabet but just a few specific ones. Either through BAM or individual purchases in store would be best.

Although I'd also like them to do a line of torsos that had LEGO store names printed on them for sale in store only ...

This thread brings to mind the cheering squad from TLNM.
