Legoland Windsor v Orlando

I've been to Legoland in Windsor with my daughter many times and in Feb we're going to Orlando. We're thinking of visiting Legoland there and I wondered if anyone on here has been to both. Is it worth going if we've been to Windsor? From looking at the websites the rides look fairly similar. Any advice would be appreciated.

Having visited Windsor about fifty times (the last being about five years ago), visiting Orlando's 'lLL was a breath of fresh air.  Less busy, better weather and models were in an infinite better condition.

With our youngest having a special pass due to his disability, queuing was the same, but there was a noticeable difference for those having to stand in the standard line.

The picnic areas at Orlando were peaceful and under the shade of trees and the place  was generally a more relaxed atmosphere than it was at Windsor.  I actually can't bring myself to spend money on Windsor anymore.  It's such a rip off and terribly neglected.  Or was.

I think all other parks are infinitely better than Windsor. Rip off and terribly neglected sums it up well.

"Over-priced dump" works well too, and takes up less space. :-)

Thanks for the advice. I think we'll probably go. My daughters going to be too old for Legoland soon so it'd be nice to go to a better Legoland as a last hurrah.

Another tip is that often there are free tickets to LL Orlando in the various US [email protected] newsletters & mailings.  I'm willing to bet if you posted something on here looking for the promo code people would be happy to share.  I'll keep a look out in my mailbox for one for you...

There are usually "buy an adult ticket get a child free ticket" coupons on the cheap polybag sets at supermarket and Walmart/target cashier counters.

Despite not advertised, we also ended up paying only a further £20 per person for a 2 week Legoland pass.

Having been to Windsor in July and just come back from Dubai...Oh dear...Windsor is a poor relation indeed...Dubai superior in every way imaginable..shame really..

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but did you go to Orlando LL @1x1 ? How did it compare? Anyone else been to Orlando LL recently and have any thoughts on it or suggestions to share?

Planning to take my Ninjago mad son there, hopefully some nice exclusives to bring home for me!

We didn't go in the end.  We were there for 10 days and going to LL would have meant not going somewhere else.  I looked into it a bit more and it didn't seem different enough from LLW.  I'm sure it's in far better condition etc but the fact that we've been to LLW so many times plus it would have been a fairly long drive to Tampa meant we gave it a miss.
