Japanese variation sets?

KingDaveKingDave Member Posts: 973

I have seen a few listings on Amazon that claim to be the 'Japan version' of various Lego sets, like this one;

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Studios-Werewolf-package-written-Japanese/dp/B00AQUHIJA/ref=sr_1_2?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1507947728&sr=1-2&keywords=1380+Werewolf+Ambush

I was not aware of any regional variations of Lego sets (apart from the occasional airline specific promo set). I thought they only ever made one version of standard sets for worldwide release. The instructions are designed to be international by being based on pictures only with no written explanation (at least for the build).

Is this just a sneaky Amazon seller in Japan trying to make their item seem more collectable?

    I don't know about that specific set, but I own a few sets bought in Japan. They are identical to those you can find elsewhere as far as I know. Packaging included.
