I wasn't sure if anyone else caught this today or not, but I thought it was awesome.

    I'm very happy about this.
I didn't get a chance to pick up the sets from JW (son was just born) so I'm happy to get another chance at more Dinosaurs at a reasonable price!

I hope they do some more variety in the dinosaurs. I got all the ones from the first movie, although it was before I started buying sets.

This was in the leaked catalogue images (no actual set images, just a teaser).
There are normal System sets but slso Juniors and Duplo, which I think is a smart move as kids of all ages love playing with dinosaurs.

Maybe in this movie we'll have talking dinosaurs.

I was checking/searching for Jurassic sets last night at brickset and saw these pop up for 2018. I hope there's a big Dino similar to Indominus.

This is great. But for me falls just outside of the peripheral realm.  I need to draw the line somewhere.  The collection model just cannot take it...perhaps the Dino's off of BL.

Still can't believe they didn't do a Mosaurus in the first movie set line. Hoping they sneak that in for the sequel sets lineup.

Now if only they'd do something with the Classic JP stuff too... BTW, Mattel has the license because Hasbro played Admiral Ozzel to Universal's Darth Vader after completely botching the merching for the last movie.

I suppose from the title and the way the first one ended they will return to the site of the now overrun theme park. Hope they don't make the mistake of JP III where there are only a handful of humans most of which are ones you know will survive.

Got a plausible way to get the DNA? Even the Mossie was a push, since there ain't no underwater mosquitos... LOL :p

I hope this could mean we get a large visitors centre from the first movie with having the JP rights n all. Presuming it's blanket JP rights and not just this upcoming movie.

They had to get full rights to include the first three movies in the game... which is a headscratcher about why they REFUSE to make a line they have the rights for, already have designed and know is in hot demand from folks at a stage of life where we have money to burn.

Of course, it also depends on what the Master Toy License holder allows, too... let's hope Mattel has more vision than Hasbro.

Frankly, I'd rather have them tool the Mossie from the LJW game... looked a lot better, and was a bit bigger IIRC.

    Megalodon too please.

Oh, and why just sea? Let’s see that giant centipede monster too.

I'm not a fan of licensed themes a majority of the time but anything that gives us more Lego dinosaurs is a must have!! :)

Also, dunkleosteus and mosasaur are too of my personal favorites!! Although I've been into dinosaurs literally since I was old enough to read about them so I love all of them! :)

Interesting. The Classic Jurassic Park set is neither representing the main skeleton hall at the end of the film, nor any of the classic Jeep scenes with the T-Rex. But I do appreciate the amount of film accurate details they've squeezed in. It even looks like they might have the "Uh uh uh!" screensaver on Nedry's computer. The embryo storage and mini-kitchen are cleverly designed. It's just missing a Jeff Goldblum. But we have Grand Master from Ragnarok so I guess, silver lining.

Might be a little, uh, "graphic" for "modern sensibilities"--I really doubt the original Kenner figure of Nedry with his Dino-Damage amputating arms would be made today without people getting squeamish.

@Diamondback_Six that was the issue with Nedry's figure I thought it was the fact they made him jacked instead of a creampuff

Actually, while the Nedry figure was rather portly compared to the rest of the line, its proportions were closer to 200# me on the same height than then-300+# Wayne Knight. Seriously, for the LJW game figure I woulda hung a parachute-pack down the front to represent that massive beachball bloat...) So maybe "semi-jacked for a creampuff"? LOL

It looks like we will get at least 3 new dinosaurs (not including recolors) with the Indoraptor, Carnotaurus, and Stygimoloch.  I can't yet tell how many of the body parts are new.  Lego seemed to subtly tweak many of the parts from the 2012 Dino sets when they used them for the 2015 JW release.  Anyone figure out which parts are new?

Though I do love dinosaurs, and info/entertaining documentaries about the Jurassic era and other eras that followed, and preceded it, as well as visiting museums where exhibited fossils and reconstructed skeletons of dinosaurs are on display, the appeal of these Steven Spielberg 'Jurassic Park' movies was always a bit lost on me. Never felt the urge to go see them at the movie theatre, and when i saw them on TV I didn't regret not seeing them at the movies.
I still think that the Lego Dino theme from 2012 was the best TLG released so far.
    https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Dino
The big fig Dino animals from that theme look superb. I regretted not buying at least #5885 and #5887 at the time from that theme with the T-Rex, raptors, and Triceratops figs.
Of the new Dino theme #75929 and #75930 and #75931 look rather nice: good Dino animals (the huge ones as well as the tiny baby ones), good minifigs, and some nice builds; at least the Lockwood estate set, judging from the pictures.

Camp Cretaceous, I believe it’s an animated TV show which has nothing to do with Lego, but gives Lego an excuse for more spinoff sets hopefully!

True that and interesting enough, one of the main dinosaurs is a baby Ankylosaurus.

First episode of Camp Cretaceous is this Friday 18th Sep, I assume globally at the same time on Netflix, if anyone’s interested. Be interesting to see what additional depth they give to the plot or characters beyond “dinosaurs are loose” which is a prerequisite.

Netflix, yeah I'll wait for their release on physical media.
