Keeping track of the Brickheadz

Mr_HobblesMr_Hobbles Member Posts: 321
So we're about to enter year 2 of the Brickheadz, and it's becoming quite tricky to figure out which exactly there are, what number they are, and where to get them. With that in mind, I've taken it upon myself to maintain a list of this information. :)

Here are all the Brickheadz so far:

Unnumbered:

XX. Super-Man (DC, SDCC 2016)
XX. Wonder Woman (DC, SDCC 2016)
XX. Batman (DC, SDCC 2016)
XX. Joker (DC, SDCC 2016)
XX. Black Panther (Marvel, SDCC 2016)
XX. Doctor Strange (Marvel, SDCC 2016)
XX. Iron Man (Marvel, SDCC 2016)
XX. Captain America (Marvel, SDCC 2016)
XX. Wonder Woman (DC, In-Store Build Event)

Numbered:

1. Batman (The Lego Batman Movie, Series 1)
2. Batgirl (The Lego Batman Movie, Series 1)
3. Robin (The Lego Batman Movie, Series 1)
4. Joker (The Lego Batman Movie, Series 1)
5. Captain America (Captain America: Civil War, Series 1)
6. Iron Man (Captain America: Civil War, Series 1)
7. Black Widow (Captain America: Civil War, Series 1)
8. The Hulk (Marvel’s Avengers, Series 1)
9. Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Carribean, Series 1)
10. Captain Salazar (Pirates of the Carribean, Series 1)
11. Belle/Beauty (Beauty and the Beast, Series 1)
12. Beast (Beauty and the Beast, Series 1)

13. Supergirl (DC, SDCC 2017)
14. Martian Manhunter (DC, SDCC 2017)
15. Spider-Man (Marvel, SDCC 2017)
16. Venom (Marvel, SDCC 2017)

17. Lloyd (The Lego Ninjago Movie, Toys-R-Us/Lego Shop Exclusive)
18. Master-Wu (The Lego Ninjago Movie, Toys-R-Us/Lego Shop Exclusive)

19. Finn (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Lego Shop Exclusive)
20. Captain Phasma (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Lego Shop Exclusive)

21. The Flash (Justice League, Series 2)
22. Wonder Woman (Justice League, Series 2)
23. Aquaman (Justice League, Series 2)
24. Cyborg (Justice League, Series 2)
25. Rey (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Series 2)
26. Kylo Ren (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Series 2)

27. Boba Fett (Star Wars, NYCC 2017)
28. Han Solo in Carbonite (Star Wars, NYCC 2017)

35. Unrevealed Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War
36. Unrevealed Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War
37. Unrevealed Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War
38. Unrevealed Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War

39. Unrevealed Star Wars
40. Unrevealed Star Wars

So out of this list, so far, we're missing info on what 6 of them are - 29/30/31/32/33/34. Does anyone have info on these? I'm guessing these are more event exclusives. Is there any comic focussed even that happens between Jan-April 2018?

And there is another exclusive one, unumbered, which was offered during the LEGO INSIDE TOUR this year.

This and the NYCC threads should be merged with the BrickHeadz thread, it’s getting confusing on where to discuss the theme. Also I was just about to do the same, make a list and inform people on the current list of products and promos this theme consists of.
  • Mr_HobblesMr_Hobbles Member Posts: 321
@jumalichi Aha, do you have any further info on that set? I can't find anything about it.

@Adzbadboy Can you point me towards the Brickheadz thread? I searched and couldn't find one. In any event, I think it might be worthwhile to have a separate topic dedicated to keeping track of them all, rather than distributing the information across multiple pages of a lengthy thread.

Instead of having a list spread over multiple posts in the forum you might be better off using a database that is frequently updated. Maybe one like brickset!

The problem is that Brickset doesn’t support the collectors series number. Difficult to find out which is #17, for example. :)

Ooh, is that a 1x4 Inside Tour brick? That's nice if so—when I went I got a 2x4 brick with a similar print, but of course that's harder to fit on a brick badge for conventions!

I have got it and that's very nice. It has been designed and gave by Marcos Bessa during the LIT. Very simple but very cute...

Although it looks like great fun for collectors!

^ Good thing you don’t collect things. ;)

I’ve gone the store-only route with them. And loved when Walmart randomly has one or two in the clearance aisle at half price. It’s helped me build up a decent amount of duplicates to try to build others.

    #29 to #34 now identified: https://brickset.com/article/32708/all-six-2018-seasonal-sets-revealed.

The easiest way to keep track in the database will probably be a BrickList. If nobody beats be to it I'll create one tomorrow.

I’m with Switchfoot.  I wasn’t initially sure what I thought of LEGO does Funko pop vinyl, but I’m building Captain America as I’m reading this, & well these things do have a certain charm to them.  Not enough to warrant collecting every one, but I can see adding Mr. & Mrs. Claus to our Christmas collection in under a year from now.

Actually really now that I think of it.  The Brickheadz line must’ve been incredibly successful for LEGO this year.  It’d be one thing if they were just continuing hte line with their licensed characters, that you might expect, but basing all 6 holiday sets in the theme, assuming there won’t be more/additional sets, must prove the Brickheadz had great results this year.

It's funny with the minifig accessories. The carrot is about the right size for a brickheadz, and Mrs Claus' tray of baking is probably about the right size too. But Santa looks very mean, with such a small sack of toys.

Thanks @Huw, a bricklist would indeed work well! And I'm excited for these seasonal Brickheadz. :)

I too aren't going to collect every one, but I do already have 10. I think, much like POP Vinyls, you'd go insane trying to collect every one. If these are successful there'll be hundreds of Brickheadz before too long.

I wish I had stayed out of it.  The event exclusives being a tracked and numbered part of the series makes my OCD blood boil.

^I decided pretty  much from the get-go that I wasn't going to allow myself to buy more than the ones I loved the most for this very reason. Once I see the numbers all lined up sequentially, I MUST continue!

I'll have to continue to be content with cherry picking my favorites
  • FowlerBricksFowlerBricks Member Posts: 1,731
^I'm doing much the same thing. I only get the ones that I really like. If I don't like it, I'm not going to buy just so that I can have the full series. Same with CMFs.

My son loves Black Panther, and wants the Brickhead of him, but the scalping price of $375 is way too high :( Hopefully it'll be released commercially in time for the Black Panther and Infinity War movies.

Just because this thread brought it back to mind, does anyone know whereabouts (aside from the vastness of the internets) I can find #41489 Rey and Kylo Ren? Is this a specific store exclusive? Is it officially released yet?

I'd hate to miss out by dragging my feet, or have to spend double MSRP if it can be avoided.

The Friends line has those 5 main characters, so i could definitely see that.  But a few city ones would be easy enough with a police officer, fireman, etc., as well.  Hmm... maybe best not to give them any ideas :D

Any chance they might revisit past one & done licences for this theme as well?  Scooby doo?  Sponegob squarepants?  The Funko pops are all license driven, and it appears anything they think will sell is fair game.

As @CM4S said, it was a Target 'exclusive', but I also saw it on the shelves in the local LEGO shop last week.

That makes me wonder if the policy on exclusives changed.

Only six month ago - the LEGO Retail Stores had the list of TRU/Wal-Mart/Target exclusives that could only be ordered through the [email protected] website.

Maybe all bets are off at the end of the retail year?

Exclusive normally means it is available in one "exclusive" non-LEGO store and the LEGO store.

Infinity war Brickheadz revealed https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-brickheadz-marvel-avengers-infinity-war-sets-revealed/ weird that they don't have a printed tile to indicate wave/series. Looks like Lego is dropping the series idea with so many coming at different release dates.

Always possible, though thus far they seem to be be confining themselves to current themes. Of course, there are supposedly Spongebob and Scooby-Doo movies in the works...

One of the leaked double sets is a Marty McFly/Doc Brown two pack.  It's one of the most promising ones so far imo, even without any pictures or details, just because it's indicative of the fact that it confirms they would be willing to make BH figures from dormant or more adult directed IP, similar to Dimensions.

I haven't given up with this thread, I've just had to find alternate means of keeping track. The Brickset lists just doesn't do what I need.

I've resorted to a good old spreadsheet.

Here's what I have so far, including known/leaked upcoming Brickheadz: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kbr8xj1bf-A_vYkBZ7A7P3T5aUm1ltD5oRziHF2oL0Y/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks @Coolguy5000, I updated it. It's also now up to date up to the new Incredibles Brickheadz.

I've discovered there is a Lego+Tencent collaboration Brickheadz floating around to with some kind of Chinese anime show. I can't find much information about it though. Will keep looking, though if anyone knows about it and has links/pictures, please let me know so I can add it. :)

In addition, looks like Lego has been promoting the new Go Brick Me set by sending a copy of it to some YouTubers out there. The package includes a custom version of themselves built by a "master builder".

Here's the very excitable Lamar Wilson talking about his: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWx_f0MjzC0

And here's another that I'm not familiar with, Katie Linendoll: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfIQhlJaL5I

Don't see any others so far, but I'm sure they'll have sent some more out. Not sure if I should bother adding these to the spreadsheet though...?

Also, I've noticed in the most recent Brickheadz, Lego has stopped including the 2x4 black tile with series information for the base.

This includes the new Avengers and Solo Brickheadz which were originally stated to be part of Series 2. They don't include the Series 2 tile, unlike the Justice League Brickheadz.

I guess Lego themselves has been finding it too difficult to categorise all the Brickheadz into series/collections. :)
