I would like to say a huge thank you to my Secret Santa for all the effort that you have put in to my gift.

Firstly I would like to apologise as it turns out the first instruction was too difficult for me to follow. :(

Otherwise I would have found this and had some building fun. Oh well, I'll know for next time. Anyhow, it was an intriguing start....

After that I thought I would empty the box just in case there were any more surprises.

As everything seemed pretty straight forward it was on with the opening.

Started small with a Halloween minifig from my list of things to get...

Closely followed by another.....

Then we got onto the sealed stuff with a couple of polybags that I didn't have...

And then second I still haven't as this one was promptly stolen by the wife to go with the Christmas decorations... easy come, easy go.  :)

By this point I was really happy with what I received but then things took a different approach.

Which after a short while became this.....

What's that, I hear you say..... not entirely sure so moved on to the next parcel...

From the description I had a rough idea about the build of this one....

Which turned out to be correct but it was missing a pilot....

Which was quickly rectified in the next parcel.

Put them all together and I ended up with this....

My very own custom version of the rocket ship ride arcade machine.    :D

And my rather clever Santa had even designed a set card for the custom build.

I don't have any idea who my Santa was but whoever you are, give yourself a pat on the back and spend the rest of the holiday season with the satisfaction that you have made an old man happy.

You are a star. Thank you.

I actually opened these yesterday, and here is the photo today - 3 seasonal sets that I missed, one from this year and the two from 2014. Many thanks!

In fact, I don’t think the CMF’s were on my wants list, but they should have been, so put that with the fact you bought part of this before you started stalking me, and the only conclusion is you’re psychic!

Wow, just liked a large amount of posts, so great to see all the happiness.

Dear SS, a little late, but just got home from a wonderful week with all my family in the USA (last timer was 2008), and what was on my doorstep coming home from the airport feeling a little sad - whoooweee, your gift!
It just blew away my blues  :-)


Upon closer inspection I found numerous SW & TBM Polybags, a LEGOLAND Duplo brick from Dubai(!!), two very sweet October Toys R Us sets from 2014 :-))))), and a little something to build?? And a marzipan Santa watching over all of it (and super wrapping paper)


Got me so excited I had to calm my nerves with a glass of beer!

That is a great set despite all the flak it received! I do recommend modifying it so that you can remove the sand hands and pillar, though. That way it can be used as a normal construction site.

Back to say another Thank You to my Secret Santa!  One of the Ninjago City CMFs was Garmadon, the other was the Shark Army Great White, which is perfect because Santa brought my 6 year old Ninjago City Fire Mech - so he's excited to have the ultimate bad guy to beat with the Mech!

Also, Santa brought my 2 year old #10746 Mia's Farm, so the #41087 Bunny & Babies that you gave me is the perfect addition to the farm!  Thank you so much again!

Thought I'd share this photo of Thomas with my Secret Santa set - after helping me build it, he decided it needed more combatants, so agreed to include his Vulture and MCU Spider-Man in the scene. We really enjoyed building and playing with it!

I think I may need more Sinister Six minifigs now...

My lot was a very pleasant surprise!

I opened the smaller presents to discover these 4 nice polybags, a series 17 CMF, and a hotdog-man key ring... after all, I am renowned for liking anything to do with Lego sausages :D



But what could the slightly-squishy larger present be???

I genuinely had no idea what to expect, but oh my, what a banger!

A pre-built festive sausage themed MOC!







Even the snowman found a good excuse to use a sausage.



Awesome! I had a good chuckle to myself, so thanks Secret Santa, I love it :)

A few bits fell off in transit, but there was a handy printed photo to act as a reference - although I've just noticed from the top photo that I might have put the right-hand side sausage end into the wrong place on the building!

I look forward to this post being noticed by a representative of The LEGO Group so that this MOC may be put into mass production as next year's Christmas vignette set. With no fewer than 6 regular-sized sausage parts, it would become the most sausagey set in existence, and so it would be bound to be a hit with collectors.

Wow!  Not one, but both of this year’s Christmas sets which I’d missed out on (& are perfect for adding to the village, mine never got completed before Christmas).  My secret Santa couldn’t have chosen any better!!  Now I want a lego emoji set for my phone to go with this cool sticker sheet I got (& a keychain I couldn’t have gotten, as sadly we no longer have target here).  But i have the feeling over the next year, lego emoji stickers are going to start popping up on bricks everywhere from modulars (I’ve set aside money to buy the diner in January, I might just have to be patient until the 60th anniversary set promo comes out), and different city sets I might rebuild through the year.  Such a cool inclusion to decorate any & all sets with, I have no idea where my SS might’ve found it.  Thanks muchly Secret Santa!  This really made my Christmas, and really means a lot.

So after stating publicly on this messageboard that I was taking my Secret Santa gift home with me to my parents' house on the 23rd, I ended up forgetting it at my house after all! Sigh. But how nice to prolong the joy of opening a present when I returned today! Thank you Secret Santa--whoever you may be--for the lovely handmade card, and for the LEGO gifts. May we all use our powers for good to build a better world in the New Year!

Finally home and got to unwrap my presents!  My SS definitely did their homework as I've checked off several items on my wanted list!  Love them all, especially completing my Snow Resort collection and the little Creator turtle.

Big thanks to my Secret Santa.  Parcel arrived on the Saturday, so just in time!  I haven't got any of these, so well done - especially pleased with the Fountain!

Special call out to @snowhitie and the others for organising the fun!!  Same time next year, perhaps?!

Well, it's now Thursday, three days after Christmas and no package has arrived. Mini-Z is beginning to wonder if it ever will. I'm trying to reassure him, but I'm having my own doubts.

@FowlerBricks we're very sorry about that but have been trying to remedy the situation. We strive for full completion!

In the UK there's one parcel that arrived a bit late (even though it was posted a day earlier than royal mail limits) and one is still on the way since the recipient has her mail forwarded so it will take a bit longer.

Can't get a photo off my phone, but my Secret Santa picked really well. Not only chocolates, but #40268 Star Wars R3-M2, #40308 Lester, and #40178 VIP Exclusive. It's like Santa could see my wish list!

Thanks so much to my Secret Santa for probably one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received. There weren't many gifts under the tree this year due to my father's failing health, but there was a lot of good cheer. This present brought a smile to the entire family as we were all touched by my SS's generosity.

My apologies for the late reply and no photo. I was sick over most of Christmas and by the time I felt better and the guests had left I am now out of town and never took the photo I kept meaning too. 

My secret Santa absolutely spoiled me! I got FOUR brickheadz (which nearly completed my collection without duplicates), chocolate and they were thoughtful enough to include a Santa polybag and the parts necessary to convert him to an ornament, which I promptly did.

So, my Santa apparently disappeared off the face of the Earth, which left me in a bit of a lurch, but then @snowhitie and @CapnRex101 jumped in to save the day! They generously filled in for my Santa and sent some very nice sets my way! Mini-Z is extremely pleased, especially since there's an awesome truck for him to drive. He insisted on trying it as soon as I had gotten it built. I keep telling myself that I should get more Lego City stuff, but the last City set I got was...err...two years ago! This set has whet my appetite for City again, so maybe I'll actually follow through. Thanks so much guys! @SumoLego was very correct when he said Brickset Secret Santa ROCKS! And the organizers of Secret Santa ROCK too!!

Built the second of my Secret Santa Sets. Rubber (= eraser, for those in the USA, nothing else! ) is too big too fit in the roof-bit so went on the plant pot :)

Really reminiscent of the old 80's sets so well fun. Thanks again.
