For my weekly update (or is it monthly? I forget) I shall say that Black Friday was frustrating as heck, but ultimately rewarding. Was that cryptic enough? :-)

From what I read in other threads, that clearly means you've got a UCS Death Star for your santee. Nice one.

Hi There, I guess I am too late for secret Santa this year?
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
HI @heikoloogi yes, it is not possible to join in this year anymore, sorry. We usually do the inscriptions in October to give everyone time to check out their victim recipient and get the presents bought and send of.

Maybe you enjoy vicarioulsy through the thread this year?

Feeling more and more festive the closer we get to Christmas.

If you start receiving your packages from your secret Santa please feel free to drop a quick note to your administrator for this year so that we can keep tabs of where everything is!  We do not want anyone to be left out in the cold.

My “European” group has been busy working and sending out all the Secret Santa gifts - all the elves are really on top of it this year!

Say when you've posted your gift could possibly reduce the secrecy element of secret santa...

Not if you post it a couple of days after when you have done it. :-)
  • MaffyDMaffyD Member Posts: 3,579
Weekly/monthly/yearly update: I have definitely made progress on at least one aspect of my BSSUBD17 gift giving. @paul_merton gets to guess... :-) He won't be happy with my reply though.

The only clue I have to identity is in the wrapping skill. These were definitely wrapped by a man ;)

^ I wrap like a boss, and I'm a bloke. So I wouldn't base anything on wrapping proficiency. And I intend to ask my other half to do the wrapping for my Santee (or have already asked, maybe) in case you're looking for clues. Also, I am less good when rushed...

^i am dreadful at wrapping and my better half won’t allow anything gift wrapped to leave the house without checking it.

Me - what do you think?

    wife - give it here

me - if you must do all the wrapping

^ Doggie on the right does not look happy at having to share his lounging space with that box!

^I'm sitting here wondering if this is all just a great story or if you are really having trouble with getting something for your Santee. :D

So I managed to mess up spectacularly and not only did I accidentally destroy one part of my Santee's present, I completely forgot to order another part!

Wheels are in motion to fix this, however.

Or maybe this all happened 3 weeks ago.....

@bandit778, no wonder you keep ending up in jail if you just casually steal a bike each time you miss a train :-)

So dumb....went to order my shipping label for my secret santa package...and I'm locked out of my USPS account. Don't worry, secret santee, I'll get it to you!!!

Only two weeks left and no package has shown up yet. Starting to get a tad worried...
  • snowhitiesnowhitie Member Posts: 3,078
@FowlerBricks still plenty of time left, I wouldn't worry just yet, unless you had a message yours was posted 3 weeks ago off course ;)
  • FowlerBricksFowlerBricks Member Posts: 1,731
No, no message yet. And I didn't say I was worried. I said I was starting to get a tad worried. There's a difference. :D

Santa has been and s/he must be in cahoots with Esme the guard cat because there was no way I was going to get anywhere near it. The parcel has now been safely hidden away until the 25th.

I have to to admit to almost opening it as the handwriting looked exactly like my sister’s.
If one of your cats is called Esme, please tell me the other one there is called Gytha!

    @plasmodium
I’m afraid not - that’s Carter who’s sisters are called Helena and Bonham.  Esme is Esme Weatherwax and suits the character of her namesake - no great love for humans, tendency to bite and a sly look in her eye and always looks bad tempered.

Nice!  Cool looking quad & what a great idea to include a poly bag that has open early on it!

Also, one of my parcels was labelled 'to be opened early', so now that term is over, I decided to crack it open!
What are the weird keyboard things?
