A Pet Project, requiring lots ranging from 2x2 to 2x10

I have this pet project in my mind. Its basically building scale model of buildings and landmarks in my country and to showcase it in a public place to create more awareness of Lego in my country.

So I was wondering, what should be the best approach to buy Bulk bricks ranging from 2x2 to 2x10 and then special parts like arches, slopes, and other parts needed to build detail.

I know making a Wanted list on BL can help, but the Bulk bricks are spread out to different sellers so I am looking to work with maximum 2 or 3 sellers who have bulk bricks with them. The volume of per brick range would be in thousands. Any suggestions?

Try to find some 5512 sets for "standard" bricks. The price per piece ratio in this set can't be beat, even at double it's original cost.

@pcirone, I did look up 5512 on BL (my personal best choice) and minimum price is 58 USD so after shipping it would get expensive.

Don't we have sellers here on Brickset who deal in bulk bricks???

True, but you have to pay shipping no matter what you get so that's a non issue. 1600 elements for $58 which comes out to 3.625 cents an element is compelling IMHO.

@Coolsplash, make a request on the BrickLink forum. That is the best way to go with a project like yours. This will make sellers aware that you have a big project in mind and they can offer you excellent deals. I have done this many times before always with great results. Sellers often don't have everything listed (especially basic elements), due to the sheer amount of work it requires to list everything. Also, BrickLink sellers are LEGO fans themselves and they often like to be part of a big or interesting project. they will root for your success and help out in many ways. (c:

@akunthita, thanks A lot! This is been on my mind since sometime and I really need lots of help and support with this. I also need to approach some Veteran AFOL's to get ideas about the scale models I have in mind. But will do what you have suggested on BL tonight :)
