Problem with lxf file in LDD - alternative?

Can anyone recommend an alternative to LDD to open a lxf file and obtain building instructions.

The lxf file is 20k+ bricks and 5334 steps long in LDD, but takes a week to run and half the instructions are corrupt / blank pages when it finishes.

Thanks

Have you tried opening it in Bricklinks Stud.io, should be LDD compatible.

Thanks - will try that when I'm at home as I need admin rights on my work pc for the installation.

So... two years plus down the line and I'm no further on with this, I can't get it to work in Stud.io - not sure if it's just too big a file.

Anyone able to help with converting to instructions if I send it onto them?

    Thanks

Not sure how new your PC is, but when I upgraded my iMac to a new version LDD ran faster. If you have access to a machine with a faster processor and a high-end graphics card then it might be worth trying to see if it makes any difference, e.g. maybe see if any of your friends own a ninja gaming PC!
