Brickset Bonus Ball Bonanza - Messy edition (09/09/17)

Hello, Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening and welcome to all you Brickset Bonus Ball fans!

Its Friday, another week has flown by, you must be aware of the format by now?

For those who are new (welcome!) and for those who have not been paying attention, simply answer the question below, the 1st 59 to answer get a number (based on their post position).  If your number is then drawn on this weekends UK national lottery bonus ball then you win.

After my good fortune last week (thanks again @catwrangler and @princedraven ), a question about the best day of your life seems in order :-)

What was the BEST day of your life and why?

For me actually having the luck of getting my bonus ball answer in the winning position would be up there but this technically hasn't happened yet, the day I delivered my youngest on the bathroom floor was truly amazing but incredibly stressful (and a bit messy)!  So if I am honest with myself one of the best days of my life was the first day of the Reading Festival in 1991 where (at 16) all my favourite bands played all my favourite songs, a day full of youthful exuberance and pure unbounded joy (and also a bit messy)!

Oh yes a prize, this week you could be the lucky winner of #30355-1: Jungle ATV and a randomly selected CMF. Good luck everybody!

Also if you fancy having a go at hosting one of the draws, please PM @snowhitie, who is ever so kindly organising the volunteers' list.

I'd say the first time I drove on my own and realised the freedom and joy it can provide would be up there.

A bit lame in comparison to some, but my first ever visit to Tank Fest is up there. Getting to see so many things I'd never seen before!

Wow, good question.  I have a lot if happy memories and "best days".  I'd have to go with bringing home my firstborn from the hospital on my birthday a couple of years ago.

That one time I spend the entire day up a tree, possibly.

Around 13 or 14 years old, a few of my friends and I decided to make a treehouse, got some wood, stole some nails and a few hammers from various parents' sheds and houses, then cobbled together a "ladder", "platform" and some "roofing". It wasn't great or anything but we sat up in it for days afterwards.

There was no plan to do it beforehand, no plans involved in making it and a sunny, summer day to do all this nothing in. Wish I could have a day without any plans now!

Same as @SumoLego : 6 years ago my son was born and that day beats easily every other superdays I already had in my life.
And normally in a couple of days my wife will give birth to a little princess, so that will make two best days!

My wedding day and the birth of our daughter are both top obviously, but a bit cliché.

So I'm going with my second wedding anniversary when my wife bought me a single lap of the Nurburgring while we were touring a bit of Europe in our 1971 VW Camper. I did a sub 20 minute lap time and had a blast. For those that know the 'ring, we monstered the track at a dizzy 60mph. I chickened out of dropping into the Carousel for fear of the van falling on its side, but as we went round the road on the top of the banked curve we were undertaken by a Dodge Viper GTS and 911 GT3, the passengers of which looked up and out of the passenger side to see me waving down on them!

Too many to mention I think, the obvious ones would be the birth of my kids, but to be a little out there- standing on top of a Mk3 Lynx Helicopter sitting on the flight deck of a ship in the middle of the Caribbean on a glorious sunny day when I was in the Navy, thinking "this has got to be one of the best jobs in the world!"

When I found out that I could trade a Deadpool minifigure for a whole entire, much wanted set! (well, it may not be The Best Day, but it ranks pretty high!)

Got to be the day the future MrsB agreed to be MrsB. 22 1/2 years ago now and still nothing to top feeling wanted like that.

The day I realized how much all my sets were worth! Kinda felt bad, but that feeling seemed to disappear quickly :).

Soppy and predictable but I'm going to have to go with the obvious, the best day of my life was my first date with the boss.
Wouldn't have enjoyed the last 15 years anywhere near as much without her.

I can't believe no-one has yet said the day they lost their virginity, so given that I'm single, with no kids, that's what I'll go with :)

Cliché one this.... The day my son was born... Not just because it's my son, he was a c section and I saw more than I was possibly allowed thanks to the power of reflective surfaces.

After meeting my SO, perhaps the day that our landlord at the time agreed that we could keep the stray cats we took in.

Best day of my life would have to be my wedding day. A few other close seconds to that, but it tops them all.

I guess like many, it was the day I married my wife. I couldn't have been more proud.

I've had lots of great days, so very hard to say! Having music released on vinyl and played on the radio is definitely some of them, as were some particularly good gigs. Recently, getting a flat for the first time (having lived in shared housing for too long) was a definite great day... and it meant I finally had access to my Lego collection again!

Being offered my current job via phone call while in Disney World on my honeymoon. That phone call just seemed like the catalyst that projected my life in the steepest sloping upward direction. Since that day, I've had 2 new cars and my first child :)

The day my son was born, although it was also nearly the worst. For 6 hours I and the med staff were in crisis mode as my yet unborn sons heart rate kept crashing (cord was being blocked) finally after the c-section was done everyone was strong and well. So yeah going from the most fear I've ever known to the most joy I've ever known is probably the best feeling possible.

At first I thought that was a tough question. But it's in reality fairly easy, the day my daughter was born! Almost 6 years ago now.... time flies when you're having fun.

Not sure I have a best day, my two lovely children being born are good but the first Labour ended in a rather worrying emergency C-section and the second one nearly killed my Wife. So I guess everyday since she was finally well again have been pretty good days

So I think the day I got married probably ranks as the best.

Putting aside the obvious wedding day & birth of children, probably my 22nd birthday.
I was out in NZ at the time & got to watch South Africa play against the local regional rugby side followed up by drinks with family & then a midnight swim in a geothermally heated pool with an attractive blonde

One summer day in 1993 when I decided to take a chance and go out with my best friend. While it's not always sunshine and roses, we're still happily together.
