Do vintage lego bricks have much value?

Hi, i've just come into possession of a barrel of vintage lego and want to sell it but i can't find much info about it. I went to the brickset catalog to look up the pieces but it only goes back to the eighties. This lego must be from the late 60's or early 70's. The figures are just heads with move-able arms, not the classic mini figures. Is some of this stuff collectable? Are there any parts from vintage lego that are rare and sought after? Any info much appreciated, thanks

ah ok, that might help. So i have split everything up into :- white, red, black, yellow, blue and transparent bricks. Windows, fences, figures, a bit of duplo, various wheels, some railway pieces with blue track, a load of base plates and other flat pieces larger than regular brick size and some miscellaneous bits and bobs. These are a few general pics of what i have.

The figures are home maker Lego,  the flocked pine tree is probably collectable....

Are there any printed 1x2 duplo bricks?

No, you are right, that's a 60's or 70's lot. Doesn't look like any 80's parts are there.

ah ok i got confused with the catalogs. I thought i was directed to the brickset one which only has the newer lego, but have been looking at the bricklink one which seems more comprehensive. The old parts are listed in that one.

Yes... those look like circa 1969-76 era parts.

Check the bricks, slopes and plates... do you see the words "Pat. Pend" on the underside?  Or what looks like a pair of mounds (Pat. Pend. removed from the molds)?  That would date the parts to that era.
