Good Day To You All From Sunny England

Hi there,
Like a lot of people here I grew up with LEGO then lapsed for a while (never completely, but almost) only to return enthusiastically now I'm pushing 40.
I'm not a collector really, I just love the build and this year I've got really into doing stop motion builds. I'm joining the forum for a few reasons; to keep an eye on whats going on regarding new releases, to see what others are working on and to maybe gather some advice on digital building and rendering (have been playing with LDD and a few renderers with little success).
I'd also be lying if I said I wasn't fishing for feedback (and subscriptions hopefully) for my YouTube channel where I post my animated build videos. Any and all comments (good or bad) encouraged on those.

Hopefully I'll get to chat more with some of you soon :)

Hello! Welcome to the forum. We chat about new releases quite a lot, and I'm sure you'll find some help with digital building - I'm not into that myself, but there'll be a thread or two about it hanging about somewhere...

I'll take a look at that channel when I'm not at work - I like the idea of stop motion builds, so hopefully I can offer some useful feedback! Hope you have fun on here.

Thank you for the welcome. I have indeed already found a few good threads here. The digital thing will probably be a phase to be honest, don't think I have the patience, but there are some nice renders on here so I'll see what advice I can get.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the channel. Thanks again

^ Welcome to Brickset and you'll side finitely find some great articles of interest here! I too got into Lego as a child of the early 90s, really getting stuck in with the original Western theme and Adventurers sets, leading into Star Wars in '99. Solo sets are indeed looking very good too. Do I take it from your last comment that you also like the Winter Village Creator subtheme, or just Christmas Lego in general? I've tried not to get sucked into the Winter Village because I know I'll feel like I need the other sets if I bought one of them. They're too moreish!
