Hello From Maryland!

I've been playing with LEGOs since I was a little kid when I would get them as gifts. I probably don't have nearly as many sets as a lot of you guys do, and unfortunately don't have much money (or space) for more. I've gotten more into LEGO now since I discovered LDD, and hopefully one day I'll be able to buy more real sets. I have most of the Harry Potter sets, which unfortunately due to space, a few of them are just piles of bricks on a shelf that's too short for them (one day they will be reassembled). Some interesting sets I have still intact are the Record and Play set (4095), the original mobile crane (8421), the original Creator ferris wheel (4957), a Technic truck (8436), a power functions Creator set (4895), and a space shuttle (7470). Beyond that, the rest of my sets met the demise of being played with as a kid (mixing them all together, building random things, even breaking or losing some pieces).

Hello! I wouldn't worry about having as much as others on here - there's always someone who has more, it's not a competition. I too have sets that I can no longer identify from my youth - having had them mixed up a long time ago. But that's not a bad thing, as you are free now to use them however you wish without fear of 'breaking up the set' and there's always the challenge of trying to complete them again!
One last tip, if you put a # in front of the set number, it creates a link to the set page on the main Brickset site, like this: #7470 #4895 #8436 #4957 #8421 #4095 - it helps us all see what you're talking about :-)
Hope you have lots of fun.

Welcome! When I joined the forum the only Lego in my house were my sons, and that was only a couple of small sets. My collection hasn't grown much, but my love of the hobby and knowledge of what is out there has grown by leaps and bounds. I'd love to be able to drop the amount of money on stuff that others can. But to each their own. I live vicariously through several members here. Have fun and learn. That's what Lego is all about in my opinion!
