Thinking about it,  but did anyone already try it?

Do anyone try to use 40221 to replace the Fountain in the Assembly Square

I think any pedestal will look nice as well, after all it is a square, even though it's a bit on the small side.

Now I'm starting to imagine having the Saturn there...

Looks way too cluttered with the other fountain IMO

I feel the Creator fountain is too big for the gap. I built a little square opposite for my fountain and it looks far better there.

If there is a nice way to expand on the square itself allowing for a larger footprint I could see it being done - maybe even make room for a nice hot dog stand.

#40221 seems a better fit for a park fountain, surrounded by open space.

Agree totally. That's where I have both of mine along with a bigger fountain in the center based on my wife. Its a little overbearing for the middle of the Square.

I'd like to see an expanded Assembly Square with more room in the "square" part.

    ^^

I did expand my AS by 16 studs. I dont have the fountain but here's some photos for you.

The plaza is 6 studs wider and 2 to 4 studs deeper so perhaps the fountain would look better in that space.

Build 2 sets, one in mirrored version and you'll have twice the size. :)

For one single set, can try building the left building on a separate baseplate so you can place more space inbetween.

Sorry about the mess and lighting, but here is my work in progress park. The fountain is in the middle of four baseplates. May change the figure out to an all gray firefighter.

The gold wings and frogs just don't look right on the fountain.
