Parts list for Chris McVeigh Christmas ornaments

ecmo47ecmo47 Member Posts: 2,101
A none-Lego friend of mine is getting Chris McVeigh's Lego Christmas Ornament Book for her nephew and has asked me to source parts. It's due to arrive on Monday, 19 June and the kids party is the following weekend (24 June) so I do not have much time to order parts that I do not have.

(Here's the Amazon link for the book)

https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Christmas-Ornaments-Book-Designs/dp/1593277660/ref=sr_1_2/136-0885288-6228845?ie=UTF8&qid=1497715539&sr=8-2&keywords=lego+christmas+ornaments

McVeigh's website has several of the designs from the book listed for free downloads.

http://www.chrismcveigh.com/cm/building_guides_-_holiday.html

So far I know of the following designs that are in the book that are listed on the site so I can access those parts lists:

1. The "Cooper" series ornament (Front cover ornament)
2. Wreath
3. Green Christmas Tree
4. Gingerbread house
5. CRT computer

So does anybody have the book? Looking for any addition parts list from the book or more cross references to items listed on the website.

Thanks in advance.

    Happy downloading!
Its a good book, I kinda wish there was a complete shopping list available so all of the ornaments could be built at one time - is that what you've been asked to sort out, or are just making sure you have enough of all the individual bits so every model can be built, just not all at once?

Anyway, good luck with it all :-)

I'm a bit perplexed why ornaments are needed for a birthday party in June...?

I gave out a bunch of Lego ornaments to friends last year and one was the lady that contacted me.  She is a librarian so is very interested in books vice just the standard Lego set. She found the McVeigh book on Amazon and recognized the cover ornament as one of the ones I gave out so thought her nephew would enjoy a slightly different Lego building experience. Of course, her initial question to me was "How do I find the bricks?" Had I not stepped in with my considerable Bricklink experience, the nephews family would have taken to Christmas to source the parts!
