Now's the time to unwrap those boxes under the tree...
My oldest son is getting Yellow Cargo Train, Red Passenger Train, and City Corner. And I promised that we would build EN and the Pet Shop together.
The other two sons are still too young for LEGO, so they are getting some small DUPLO sets.

My son got a bunch of Duplo sets (which he isn't old enough for yet but it'll build up a decent collection), some clothes and toys as well as a Lego Primo ladybug poly. It's set 1783. Giant size pieces for babies. I wonder why these didn't stick around.

My 6 year son actually isn't getting any Lego for Christmas, but my daughter is getting a Duplo train
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
Too many to name between the three of them! I went a little hog wild this year on them and me.

Wow, some of you guys really went all out. My parents did as well for my siblings and I but I'm trying not to go crazy. I can just see it getting out of control topping each Christmas year after year. But, when their dad owns his own Lego store spread throughout the house they seem to get enough perks throughout the year ;)

Mine got winter toy shop and post office from us, hillside house and MVR from my parents, log cabin from my brother, and various little sets. However she's only playing with her furreal kitten so far :)

@monkey_too I would love to see a picture of your Tinkerbell house if you wouldn't mind sharing

My kiddos got the new Superheroes collection. The Funhouse is my favorite and my younger sons favorite. They also got some Lego games from the clearance sale. My older son got some sets for parts and pieces that I have seen on sale over that last few weeks. They got the new Camper Van from their grandparents. They also received a: Frigate and some Alien Conquest from relatives. It is a Lego Christmas.

monkey_roo- I would love to see pics also.
  • monkey_roomonkey_roo Member Posts: 1,411
No worries I will post some pictures later in the week. Saddly I am stuck in hospital with my son who has a nasty virus, but once we are back home and my daughter has built it I will load stuff up. The image of the tinkerbell fig is up here somewhere already.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. Prayers headed your way. Take care of your family...no rush on the pic.

    Thanks.
Enjoy the rest of your Christmas
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@monkey_roo So sorry to hear that. I hope and pray your son gets better quickly, that everyone else is coping okay with the stress, and that you get to go home soon.

My kids got some Duplo sets from Santa. The green cargo plane, Cars Big Bentley and the Pit Stop, and a "First" Duplo set (although it's not their first).

That's tough, @monkey_roo. Hope he's back up and running real soon. You can tell him your LEGO friends are thinking of him. :) Rest if you can...

My kid got no LEGOs from me. She's got enough Duplos to last her awhile, and until she develops a stronger interest in those bricks, I'll just keep an eye out for must-have legacy sets. (Okay, gotta jump to that discussion, now. whew!)

Thanks for comments. Sure we will be out of here in a few days. On the plus side at least I was awake for the start of the sale, for all what that was worth.

Heh-heh, similar story here. My 3.5 yo daughter wanted a black Ewok with a glider, so I built one of those, and gave her Emma (from Friends set, thanks to @streeker). My 5.5 yo son wanted Commander Cody minifig, so I got him that and the king from the King's Castle. I also got them the XXL box from Wal-Mart to share.

The grandparents are getting each of the kids a Ninjago dragon set.

He really gets it. He has already built the creater cool cruiser(the white one) with the convertible top and technic elements earlier this year. He tore into the land speeder last night and had it done in less than an hour.

duplo zoo and the brilliant duplo cars pit stop.
  • Si_UKNZSi_UKNZ Member Posts: 4,179
    also megabloks.
thanks to megabloks (better design than primo, quattro or duplo for really littluns) has just worked out 'stick, unstick' with bricks. Shame lego neglect the pre-duplo market, i feel like ive been forced into breaking a personal taboo.

My son got Cars Duplo sets for Christmas.
He's a Cars nut ( Disney movie watched everyday).

  • prof1515prof1515 Member Posts: 1,550
Absolutely nothing! Of course, I don't have any kids so it's really not that bad. :-D
  • legoDadlegoDad Member Posts: 529
Santa was very kind and generous to me and the boy this year(his report card seem to have some influence on Santa..;)...Catwoman and Luthor's Mech SuperHero sets, Ninjago magnets/Cole's Tread Assault/Rattlecopter/Cole DX fig set, small Creator set and Star Wars Complete Saga DS game. Sets we'll build together: Diagon Alley (w/mini polybagged Hogwarts Express) and Alien Conquest HQ (love it!).
And a little surprise of a Death Star and Millenium Falcon ornaments...Chris McV's fantastic designs.
  • tamamahmtamamahm Member Posts: 1,987
For my 4 year old, it was all about Alien conquest. For my girls, they received several Harry Potter sets.

We also do the winter set every year, but not as an actual Christmas gift, but more as a tradition before Christmas. They will put the set together themselves.
