What Lego set has the most/best play features?

What Lego set has the most/best play features? I was looking at the Spider-man Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle set and I loved all the play features it has, so now I am planning on buying that set next. I want a play set to play with my younger brother. I also prefer the play sets over just builds if you know what I mean by that.

My grandson has been having fun with #4204 The Mine, #60022 Cargo Terminal, and a couple of Police and Fire Stations

As a parent, the sets my kids play with the most are the Friends fairground sets. As a family we own hundreds of sets but the roller coaster specifically has provided hours of play. We ended up buying the whole theme which we set up on a dedicated table in the house where it's been for 4 months - and played with pretty much every day. It has to be our favourite set ever.

From an AFOL viewpoint, who doesn't like to swoosh a quinjet (the original one) once in a while?

My son is all about special features. He usually looks at larger sets and scopes out the features.

I think that is the first thing to note... generally the larger the set, the more special features it has. This is not always the case, though.

What themes does your younger brother like? I would first figure that out and then from there look at the larger sets in that theme and explore the special features in those sets.

I appreciate clever mechanisms like the door opening system in Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle. Much more interesting than flick-fire missiles or super jumper gimmicks. To be fair though, my son likes shooting features so they do have a place.

Seconding the suggestion of the Fortrex - there's just so much to play with on that thing!

    Welcome to the forum!

Mys on likes the fortrex as well, or the evil
lava fortress one, that's a great set too.

The Ninjago lighthouse seige is a lot of fun too and pretty nice looking in my opinion too. And some great play features, falling through doors, flick missiles, something to slide down...

Sorry for the messy table, all the sets currently in play or not yet attributed a display space are on there for now :)

#70595 Ultra Stealth Raider is a contender. Maybe not quite as feature-heavy as the Fortrex, but it has a transforming bike with two six-shooters and a spare ammo compartment, two tread bikes with spring missiles, and a jet with pop-out wings/blades, all of which combine into a futuristic tank. The set includes minifigures of four ninja, but the vehicle can seat all six. It also includes a "Chenosaurus" with two spring shooters.

#70596 and #70323 are also very playable, though more expensive than the Fortrex or USR. Jestro's lair is noteworthy in that it has a lot of intense action features typical of boy-oriented themes, but also some dollhouse-style livable spaces of the sort you rarely see outside girl-oriented themes like Friends or Elves. In addition to the traps, dungeon, turrets, flying throne, and giant hellmouth, Jestro gets his own bed, bathtub, and kitchen! It's all suitably spooky for a villain lair, but also sort of cute and humorous.

Some of my som's favorites over the years... Silver Mine from The Lone Ranger, Police Station, (the version they did the mega factories tv show on), a number of the Ninjago sets, including lighthouse siege, scooby-do mansion, etc.

I believe the Prison Island Police Station set is still out. My son really does not care for city, but this was a set he bought with his own money. It had a number of   features to it. How did he know? YouTube video reviews. Jangbricks has some nice family friendly videos, and is our main source. That is a nice way to check out the features of these sets.

I actually picked up on a sale around Christmas a number of the sets mentioned here, because I felt they were ones he would like for their features. The Spider-Man bridge, fortrex, and the lava lair. I have these all stashed, though, so no idea if he really likes them or not.

Some of the Elves sets are also pretty awesome.

One of my favourite play features in recent years was in #60108 from last years City Firefighters line - the  helicopter can drop 2x2 round bricks (water bombs) to put out a fire in the container.

#70595 Ultra Stealth Raider is pretty good, as it separates into 4 different vehicles - and my youngest loves vehicles, especially secret vehicles.

#75824 Pig City Teardown is great fun, and Target has it on clearance.

Chima Speedorz have been a favorite this week. Thank goodness they are durable enough to survive multiple collisions with walls and each other.
