I actually really liked the movie. I thought for once DC did something right compared to the new releases the last few years. But that's why everyone has opinions.

More on point, the set makes sense in relation to the movie, but definitely doesn't catch the resemblance needed (in my opinion) of the main characters. Diana looks spot on, but the other two have some work to do. Oh well. It would have been nice to see more than one set, maybe including Antiepe or Hippolyta, just for some extra Amazon action, but I understand with Justice League coming out, they can't release too many stand alone.

^ My guess is that they didn't release more sets due to the Superhero Girls theme overlap.  Those smart marketing folks have a pretty good understanding of how sets will perform.

I have the same problem with Man of Steel - an extremely poignant moment illustrating restrain with Jonathan Kent ultimately is a throw-away scene that Superman repeatedly ignores.  The wanton destruction and indifference to human life in the Metropolis fight is also internally inconsistent with what Superman ought to value.)

There's a Youtube video that parodies the end of the fight with Zod, where Kal-El flies Lois down to the ground and they passionately kiss. The video maker has removed the music and put in the screams of the thousands of hurt and dying Metropolis citizens as they try to escape the carnage of the city - and Superman ignores it all:

I didn't like ww. Chris was the hero of the movie and ww was a plot device. Additionally, what the heck was up with ares after going god? No badass look or anything... Just some dorky guy with a mustache in armor. Very disappointing

Saw the movie last night, really enjoyed it! It was daft as hell but that's what I want when I see a superhero movie, something fun and a welcome escape from reality. I was expecting Ares to grow into a massive Giantman though after the reveal of this set, haha.

Ordered it from the Lego site shortly after leaving the cinema. :)

I loved the movie, thought DC finally did something right by showing an iconic hero who cares about saving people above all else, exactly what superman should have been but failed at miserably.
