i was kinda hoping it might be one or two high profile missing pilots, that may or may not have been involved in the destruction of the second Death Star...
With the inclusion of the porgs, the Penguins like creatures found on Luke's mystery island (I think), I wonder if that is a hint at a Luke/R2/new Rey set of figures, all of which I assume fly in the falcon in the new film.
whatever comes our way, I hope they are all falcon centric and and not just 10% extra off this or that etc.
He woukd be crazy not to do it for the Falcon. There will be tons of people willing to do this. What's an extra 50 dollars when you just laid out 800 plus?
Site is a little tough to navigate but ready to buy some now.
A signed set with card just make over £5k, if that's a genuine sale then Star Wars collectors are completely bonkers!
But £5600. Wow. Makes me glad I've already opened my box otherwise I'd worry about opening it ;-)
Last time i checked a couple of days ago there was a total of ten, not sure how many have been listed since
Makes me wish id came down from the north east of england to wait in line to get one :(
TLG don't seem to care. Otherwise they would track the sets and give the vip users a lifetime ban from being VIP members and banned from entry to any TLG property.
It probably wouldn't stop the scalpers from future speculation but it would make it a lot harder for them.
I don't believe the popularity of the set took Lego by suprise, Lego want this set to make the front page of all Lego/Toy websites and forums.
The last thing Lego would want to do is overproduce stock and make it look like the set wasnt in demand, even if it means losing out on resellers profits on ebay.
The whole thing has created an enormous hype.
They know that these exclusives will go for crazy money, they encourage it by artifically making them so difficult to get e.g the Lester minifig. I live in Ireland, there are no LEGO shops here so I have 0 chance of getting any of these limited edition exclusives unless I go to London or comic-con etc. It all creates hype etc.
There's already one listed locally for $1600. I wonder if there's any interest or if it's like the $190 Saturn Vs that have been sitting there for weeks.
Turns out I didn't even get close to finishing yesterday, I'm just going to keep building and not worry how much I have left.
In addition to that I have one of my very first missing pieces in the form of a single 4211135 - Roof Tile 1X2/45°, good news is I have tons of them in my parts collection. It's a shame it had to be in this set though.
I think this is the reason why they are going for so much.... 10179 had a first edition run, and 75192 has this.. Which is a collectors dream..
Also that VIP card that went for £1040 on eBay was a genuine auction. (I didn't buy it though)
From my understanding it was an exclusive, that we'd get another one shipped to our house within 6 weeks. The source is a store employee who was explaining it to the people in line.
The box measures 53cm x 46cm x 38cm, and although the front surface area is not as large as, say, the Assembly Square's box, it's the depth that sets it apart from all others.
In its outer shipping carton it weighs just under 15Kg.
has anyone got a spare day 1 poster?
The Black VIP card. How do you get hold of it? I was fortunate enough to be able to get over to Watford early enough to buy a Falcon, but VIP cards weren't mentioned (other than scanning my 'regular' card) and I wasn't awake enough to ask about them.
Will :Lego know that I've bought the set and just send me one, or do I have to apply somewhere?
Cheers!
