Getting a little jealous of everyone receiving there's or having a shipping email, I'm just sitting here wishing mine would come out of "waiting on new stock".

Hey I think I'd be happy to have any order in.  I've been checking back in case something comes available.

I am happy that I do, just hoping it doesn't get cancelled or even waiting for weeks for it to be fulfilled.

I think you mean 'one-sided flogging by sumo', but yes.  I'm not sure why accusing @monstblitz of hypothetically 'scalping' is just plain silly.

Right there with you bro in Cali. Painfully waiting while U.K.  and East Coast get theirs.  Hoping I get mine before 10/01.

I'm halfway through "Bag 1", but I had to go into my parts reserve, as I only received about 15 black friction pins.

I was ultimately blocked by step 108 due to missing parts.  I've inventoried the rest of step 1, and I am missing:
    • 4x Black 32018 (1x14 Technic Brick)
    • 125x Black 2780 (Technic, Pin with Friction Ridges)

Instead of those parts, I have a handful of unexpected pieces including 1x2 Door Rail in Dark Tan, 1x2 Cheese in Light Bley, 2x2 Tiles in Light Bley, and three roller skates.

Anyone else encounter missing parts, or find the parts they were missing in another bag?  It doesn't look like we can order replacement parts yet online since the set inventory isn't on their servers yet.

    ---tom

P.S. In these cases, has anyone had luck going to LEGO Brand Retail and asking them to open a different set to extract the missing parts?  (It looks like the cheapest current set with 4x Black 32018 is 70321-1 General Magmar's Siege Machine of Doom.)

^ LBR is not going to pull parts from sets for you. Call Lego CS and give them the part numbers for the pieces you are missing and they will send them to you.

@oldtodd33 - That's too bad; It will take at least a week to receive replacement parts through the mail.

Has anyone come up with an "upgrade" guide? What is needed to upgrade 10179 to 75192?

It's slightly concerning the level of your missing parts. I would call customer services to get them sent, it may take a week or two, but at least those missing parts would be on the way.
I'm thinking that your missing parts aren't equal those included, I doubt they're anywhere else so I'd expect to find other erroneous extra parts somewhere else in the first box. I'm assuming each box will have been separately weighed at a QC stage… at least, I hope they will have.
I can't imagine you'll be alone missing parts, and I wouldn't hold my breath for them being the only absentees or substitutes.
As much as I respect Lego's brilliant replacement parts service, if I was missing parts in a set of this size and cost, I wouldn't wait to the end of the build, I would request the parts each and every time I encountered anything missing.
From the pictures I've seen of it so far, most of the parts looked to be in general circulation so I'd hope it would a formality to have the parts sent.

Completely agree, fulfil from the front of the queue but them let people join the back of the backorder queue.

I take it you've opened all 4 internal boxes? Huw said in his review that the bags are randomly soread. And it sounds like you're missing a bag :(
  • @steveomcl I've never had an order sit in warehouse for a week (out of more than 80 orders since 2013 including high demand day 1 sets like Saturn V, Ninjago City etc). Boils down to me no longer trusting LEGO to fulfil the order in a timely manner when I read about so many other orders already shipped.

@Anth88 I'm not trying to make a statement, just annoyed. What is supposed to be a fun hobby has become a pain in the *** thanks to LEGO incompetence.

Yup, I opened all four boxes and sorted by number. No extra bags.  They are now organized the way they should have come: 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-17.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that. I suppose Customer Services know how many bags are in the set, so should be able to identify if a whole bag is missing and send you the missing parts. Good luck!

Like I said you cancelling your order on Tuesday morning would mean only waiting 3 full working days ... This isn't Amazon prime give them a break and wait at least 5 if that is what you paid for.

Geez, looks like your set was messed up a bit. Hopefully LEGO fixes this problem when new production is going on. So far I was missing a 1x8 grey technic brick for bag 3, but I did find one in my piece collection which looks pretty brand new.

Amazingly the main Lego falcon box is ok. It's a pain though, now I need to find another box the same size to store the falcon box in so it doesn't get all beaten up.

Btw, for all the Sticker-Haters (like myself), there`s a guy in Germany who prints Custom Parts, he even offers full sets, for D2C Sets like the GBHQ (for example)! I already asked if he intend to offer printed Parts for the Falcon, waiting for the answer! Here's the Link, in case you're interested: http://www.steindrucker.com/lego-set-buendel

Thank you for that.  I might try the Snowspeeder set to see if they fix the whiteness of the stickers not matching the whiteness of the bricks.  But with 30 odd pieces it won't be cheap.

Bags 1-8, most of the bottom and Technic frame is done, now on to the top surfaces starting with the front.

Nice!  Looks like it is coming together quite nicely. Quick question I believe you were the one who wound up with 2 extra black technic pins at the end of stage 1. Normally that doesn't happen you should only have 1 spare. Did you ever check?  Interested for when I start my own build if I ever get it. Mine is backordered. Thanks!

Serious question, what do I do with the cake? I have a nut allergy plus I've kept it out of the fridge since I got it, is it still safe to eat? I don't think I can display it with my set... :P

@Dfchang813 I broke the frame and still didn't find where it goes. Turns out one other mentioned an extra two in bag one. My guess it'a because over 30 were in a single bag without any other pieces.

The falcon is looking great! I'm super excited to get mine. I have one question to aid my display I'm working on if you could answer it for me. I am intrigued to know the dimensions between the front, back and side landing gears. Basically the area the landing gears cover Length and Width. If you have the time to measure id really appreciate it. Thanks

Unfortunately not :( Bit whenever i'll buy the Falcon (waiting till it's available at Kaufhof to get it at least 20% off) i would def.invest 50€ for a set of printed pieces to leave the sticker-sheet untouched!
