Great photos! My only question is when did times get so tough that Jamie Oliver had to get a second job at the Lego Store?
I'm missing three though which are extremely hard to get: #6176782 - Escape the Space Slug, Losing / Winning Force Friday II raffle slip and the expedited shipping code card which didn't relate to my scenario as I did get one. Really proud of this collection, just need to find a way of presenting it.
Look what just arrived! However, none of the promotions were included.
Finished Bag 4...
On to Bag 5...
It's really useful to use the tray included with the set for holding the parts if you don't have limited space.
I'm tempted to list #10179 & #75192 together on EBay with a ridiculously high reserve just to see what kinda action it gets.
Sigh....
Whats the significance of the sticker sheet? What did it come with?
I am assuming these people have the resources to make multiple purchases if they are making several hundreds of £££s for each one sold. I can certainly see their motivation.
But customer services did say I was welcome to call up every day until I got some firm release information. Hopefully persistence will pay off, it's just a shame I also have to compete with an internet connection that's really slow and living almost 3 hours drive from my nearest Lego store which would be Milton Keynes or Stratford. I am sure it was my slow connection speed that contributed to my set being whipped out from underneath me during the checkout process. By the time my screen refreshed they had gone from backorder to being sold out.
I'd use that money to justify purchasing another LEGO set :)
That was given to customers during Force Friday II along with the guide so you could answer the questions and potentially win a #75192 - Millennium Falcon or an #30611 - R2-D2.
What are the special offers that this card entitles a member to?
Special offers will include points promotions, special events, gifts with purchase and more! The offers will be shared directly with applicable VIPs throughout 2018.
Looks like I made the right decision not to wait for double points.
How long is the card available for?
The collectible card is a limited-time offer until 31/12, or while stocks last.
Only LEGO knows how big those card stocks are, if they are region bound, how it compares to the number of sold Falcons, if they need to make more sets, will they also add cards ?
Honestly ? With what is happening on the supply of sets and LEGO acting surprised with the demand, I would not hold high hopes for orders made late this year...
They already have the backdoor in those terms and the cards will cost them some (I guess they are 3rd party made). Also what is important it is not the card itself but the commitment of providing some perks in 2018.
I want to be mistaken just for the others to have a chance ...
