    Nobody wants to discuss the likely level of detail on the hyderdrive?  The sleeping quarters?  The shielded smuggling compartments? The gun positions?  The room in the cockpit?  Where are the Chewie toys stored?  Mynock repellant?

    Are we even going to see any interior detailing anyways?  If so, what would you like to see?  Of course we would have a bed area and a gaming table, but what else?

    I would open my arms to a detailed interior and have a smaller Falcon. For the rumored $800 I would want for it to get as movie accurate inside as possible. I'm also really interested to see if there will be a clear plastic cockpit window or a brick built exterior. 

    Don't know what is more exciting, the New Year's Eve count down or this.

    Just found my old Kenner MF in my dad's attic a couple of weeks ago. For $800, I hope the UCS looks just like it. In reality, I could probably build one that is fairly similar for much less than $800. Hmm...

    Most impressive is how the countdown numbers have not been duplicated; as in two people posting the same number at the same time... unless you noticed right away and use the edit feature, of course.

    I am going to offer some of my wish list in the form of a question to give those that have already "participated" in the countdown an opportunity to post again... we're a family and cannot disappoint  @CM4S ! ;-)

    Do you agree that at the very least the interior should include the chess board and the training ball? At least one smuggler compartment should be included; don't you think?

    Should have the smuggling compartments and some mechanical rooms for all the breakdowns it has.

    Perhaps a compartment for an extra hyperdrive?  That would be practical.  And a box for those useless compressors.

    No. In fact, I'm not sure what you guys are trying to accomplish by doing this. None of you would last another minute over on Eurobricks! Suddenly their moderation is making sense! This does nothing but spam the topic and annoy those who want some actual news, like me! 

    Honest, I know as much about the Falcon as all of you do. For now, we just need to sit back and wait. Sorry to be a bit of a jerk but that's the truth! :[

    Its funny how the ridiculous count down has made some of you actually talk about the falcon.

    Was super exited to log on this morning and see 46 new posts...

    I should have known...

    What does intruige me is what everyone wants from the set.  
    A. It needs to be bigger
    The original  is already at correct minifig scale (give or take three studs.
    B.  It needs to be smaller.
    See above
    C. It needs to have an accurate detailed interior.
    Any thoughts on exactly how to do that whilst maintaining any sort of structural integrity?
    D. It's rumoured to be expensive, the parts better all be printed!
    You already know that UCS series don't.  Prepare to be disappointed.  
    E.  It needs to have minifigs of (insert applicable favorite character/ costume who have ever set foot inside the falcon in whichever film/ cartoon/ comic)
    So what do you want exactly?

    I'm forced to wonder if the main reason for the delay is because the head of marketing and play testing are sitting in the corner of the room, rocking slowly back and forth, surrounded by 200 different prototypes.  They're currently unable to be helped because the door has been wedged shut from the inside with the 200 brick separators that EVERYONE agrees the set WILL have.

    Well, given the events of the last movie, maybe this model will feature Han Solo's corpse in the cargo hold.  That would certainly be a collectable minifig.
